Undercooked Fish twice! The manager said he would fix it the first time and it came out the same way the second time! The manager apologized profusely and picked up the tab, which was nice of him to do, but really? And it’s so noisy you can’t hear your table partners.

Service was slow. Not sure if it was impacted by shift change between lunch and dinner. We were told that the kitchen staff switches over at 5pm. Took around half an hour to get our entrees. Food was good. Burgers were excellent.

We had the most incredible experience at The Smith -Nomad. The service was mind blowing- ie a busser noticed me having trouble with my cutlery and zipped over, unasked, with a draped plate with sharper knives! Wow! We never had to look for our waitstaff- they were so attentive it was as if we were their top priority! And the food… OMG - sooooo good. We ate our entrees and ordered more! Everything was absolutely wonderful! The best!!! Highly recommend!!

The food was impeccable, so well prepared and displayed but extraordinarily delicious. We chose several dishes to share which is what I would recommend for parties of 4 and over. Will have to savor all the different plates on their menu and there’s no need to eat that much of a single dish because the flavors are so good and satisfying that you want to try other dishes. Will definitely come back again. Their wine selection is amazing too

Great ambiance. Great food and v good service. Was there on Mother’s Day which was probably busier than usual but service was very good nonetheless.

The food at The Smith never disappoints. It was mother's day and that is always a tough busy day for restaurants. Our server was great! I could see the manager was helping out too and he was also wonderful.

Pretty loud, but great! Got burgers fries eggs salmon tartare and everything was really good. Just had to yell to conversate which I’m not a fan of.

We didn’t know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. Our two friends had bloody Marys that they said were good. My husband doesn’t like poached eggs but wanted the Benedict Johnny; he was able to change the eggs to scrambled and said his dish was delicious. I had the buttermilk pancakes (excellent) and our friends said their dishes were delicious as well (shrimp biscuits and gravy and goat cheese omelet). We couldn’t eat anything else - we were full and happy! Our server was great as well!

I frequently visit this location when in NYC. This was the worst experience I ever had. Some food we barely ate and some were just okay. It was not busy at all but service was dismal at best

Went for dinner at 8pm on a Friday night with a colleague, and had a reservation The service was awful, and I spent my time asking for simple things like bread to start (when the tables on either side of us got it immediately). It was incredibly noisy and I have a reasonable tolerance, but it was too much. The only positive was a nice burger, but honestly we ran to the exit door when we were done with our meal Won’t be going back

The Smith is a great brasserie that you don't want to visit for a quiet evening out. The acoustics are LOUD but the food is consistent, well flavored and crowd-pleasing. Staff is friendly and attentive and the homemade chips are always amazing.

The food was good, but our waiter disappeared before the food was brought out and didn’t come back until after we were done. No refills on coffee or tea and we waited forever to tell him we wanted more food.

Near the end of our meal my wife, two kids and I were asked to move tables so that the restaurant could accommodate another party. We told the host or manager that we would rather just pack up the remainder of our food and leave rather than transport our half-eaten plates across the restaurant to another table. After we paid the check and got up to leave with our to-go boxes, the host or manager came to us to say that the restaurant didn’t need the table right away and we could we could sit for a few more minutes. Nothing ruins a dining experience more than being told that you are less important than other customers.

We made a reservation but had to wait 30 minutes for our table to be ready. We sat down and ordered drinks and our waiter spilled one of our drinks all over our table. We were given an appetizer to makeup for the long wait but we noticed after we paid that we were charged for this appetizer that we did not even order. Overall a very poor service experience and OK food.

My friend was running (very) late but they quickly moved our reservation without issue. They were kind enough to seat is in a quieter part of the restaurant. Our server and the rest of the staff couldn't be more accommodating. The food was terrific too!

Our first visit to Nomad’s version of The Smith, which we know from the Lincoln Center location, was for Sunday brunch for four of us at the height of the rush, and it was a crowded place that occasioned a wait of 20 minutes past the reservation time, but the staff was clearly professional as they managed the traffic about as well as could be. A festive place on a beautiful spring day, the level of happy conversation noise was loud but not too loud to have our own conversations. Our server Mike was ideal in spite of the crowd, the Weekend Brunch menu is truly one of the most comprehensive in the city and our food (eggs Benedict, shrimp and grits) was excellent, fresh and flavorful. Perfect place for a Chelsea meet-up if you don’t mind the decibels.

Not great for team events as the venue is very loud. Service was great and friendly. Food was not as advertised and everyone is my group had some measure of complaint about the entree the ordered. Mac and Cheese was amazing though but overall was disappointed in my experience after reading the reviews and it’s unlikely I will go back.

Food was good, but service was rushed. Mains came out same time as the oyster apps and they kept trying to clear the table while we were still eating.
