The Silo Cookhouse offers a culinary farm to table journey set amidst the tranquility of the Farm’s eclectic dining room and the splendor of sweeping sunset views of Mt. Pisgah. We offer an a la carte menu, communal seating dinner service Wednesday-Saturday evenings. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, at 5:00 when our bar opens up! Please make your reservation time at the time you would like to be seated for dinner.

Our experience is a great chance to meet new people and make new friends! Our menu changes in accordance with the freshest, seasonal local ingredients.

Thursday’s Are For LOCALS!
Henderson, Transylvania, & Buncombe County residents will receive 20% off at The Silo Cookhouse and The Stable Spa EVERY Thursday. That's right. We love our locals and want to see you at least once a week!

This was our fifth or sixth visit to the the Silo. I notified the the restaurant in advance that we needed 2 gluten free meals and one vegetarian meal for our guests. The food was amazing and the special meals were beyond expectations. Our guests thought it wasthe best meal, service and ambience they have experienced in a long time. Our vegetarian had never had a better vegetarian meal. We will be back soon. Thanks to Millicent and the entire staff of The Silo. Bravo!

Service painfully slow. Server not particularly friendly. Didn’t introduce himself, took at least 20 mins to get drinks.

We had some wonderful food including lamb chops, a mushroom with gochujang that was amazing and some wonderful desserts. It was a beautiful property and restaurant. We will definitely be back soon!

What an awesome experience. From the ambience, to the food, to the friendly staff, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with friends at Silo. It is clear that the owners of the property/establishment are committed to creating a unique and wonderful experience for their guests. We each ordered a different entree and sampled each other’s meals and agreed that there was not a bad option in sight! Bravo Chef and team! Our server was also really great. We will be back!

Beautiful location to sit out on the porch for a Sunday brunch and look out on the Blue Ridge mountains. This is a great inn with many amenities and overnight accommodations.

We had a good time... Not sure we will be back. The Manager was unbecoming and overall not pleasant. Table we set at was uncomfortable and not a please experience. Server was excellent and the food was perfect. Over all I would not rate this very well for the two stated above reasons.

This was a fantastic meal. The menu is creative and yet simple (I don't like being overwhelmed with dozens of options). I want the best few items that the chef has prepared based on fresh ingredients - and this delivered! My only request: please stock a couple of more quality single malt scotch options :)

Silo Cookhouse at Horse Shoe Farm is an amazing dining experience! The waitstaff is excellent, the food beyond compare, and the atmosphere heavenly. We celebrated my birthday there and it was a delightful experience, from playing pool in the game room, to dinner, to wine by the fire pit. We will definitely be back on a regular basis!

A memorable experience. Loved chatting with others at the table. We each got an entree and split between the four of us so we could all enjoy. The chicken dish and the special of the day which was prawns were the favorite entrees. The striped bass wasn’t much to write home about. But over all very good food and we will be back.

Unique property and atmosphere. Beautiful seating arrangements. Great service. Diverse and thoughtful menu. We had the Lion’s Mane Mushroom appetizer, ritolo pasta, and ribeye steak. All were great. For dessert, I got the opera cake and husband got the cheesecake. The cheesecake was phenomenal (my mouth waters just remembering it) but the opera cake was kind of frozen / hard to cut through. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

We celebrated a wonderful 32nd anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better place! The staff were very friendly and willing to assist throughout the meal. The food was excellent and the best we have had in a long time. The setting is beautiful! And we happened to be there on Thursday, where they offer a 20% discount for those who live locally.

We had the most amazing experience at the Silo Cookhouse. The food was incredible, every dish was unique and so delicious! The lion’s mane mushroom dish was off the charts good and rack of lamb was perfection. Hibiscus margarita was amazing. Servers were attentive and friendly, the ambience is really special. All around it’s a super enjoyable experience being there and we can’t wait to go back for another great meal.
