It was Mother's Day. We had a bottle of Catena Malbec. We could not decide on an appetizer, so we ordered the shrimp cocktail AND the lobster bites. My wife usually does not like either, but she took a chance and loved both staters. My wife had a perfectly cooked Filet, Brussels Sprouts (she lives for Brussels Sprouts) and a Loaded Backed Potato. She loved everything, however she was unable to finish, so she took some home. I had the Tuscan Shrimp Pasta and the Lobster Bisque. I too became full and finished the Bisque. I took the remainder of the Tuscan Shrimp home. The bisque was creamy, lobster filled and had a great depth of flavor. The flavors of the Tuscan shrimp were well balanced. I loved the way the chef used capers to season the dish rather than drowning the entire dish with salt. The capers added the right amount of saltiness along with a depth of flavor missing in salt. Though we were full, and everything had been excellent so far, we gave in to our greed and ordered dessert. The lemon-berry mascarpone was to die for! Fruity, light and creamy, it was the perfect end to a perfect meal! Finally, we could not have possibly had a better server than Maddison. She was a bubbly breath of fresh air. She checked on us constantly and even got the cook to butterfly my wife's steak. Thank you, Maddison for making a special day even more special! We will definitely be back!

Our waiter , Cameron was absolutely phenomenal! All of the staff was very helpful and they worked well as a team. Excellent service. The One critique (4/5 for food) some of our guests food was not hot / made to order but seemed to have sat for a while before being brought out. Nonetheless, Cameron was quick to resolve this matter. Thanks Rutledge Franklin for a great overall experience!

Had dinner at The Rutledge on Mother's Day. Food was great. They even gave Mom's a rose when we walked in the door. That was a very nice touch. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us regularly. It was a busy day at this restaurant and a little difficult to hear and talk. Booths and seating are very comfortable. I liked how they had the booths and seating a good distance apart which helped make it feel more private. Nice glassware too!

The food is mediocre for the price point. It's like Jimmy Kelly's, Ruth Chris's, or Morton's price without the taste or quality. The ambiance is nice, but I guess you are paying more for ambiance instead of actual good food.

Love the kale quinoa salad. The mahi tacos were good, but the dish was a bit overcooked (dry). Next time I’m going to specify medium doneness

There were some ants on the corner table we were sitting initially. Looks like those ants came from from the plant in the corner. We had to change the table.

The only complaint I have is that they charged me a 3% fee for using a credit card, when I asked can I use my ATM then so I would not charged they said that wasn't an option. Most people aren't walking around with cash so I thought that the fee was a bit unnecessary.

I thought I might have been on an episode of kitchen nightmares. I’m not hard to please but this place scared me. It was a Sunday night and we were the only people in there, the food was horrible. Our server was very nice but the food was very bad.

Unfortunately, we did not have great service, and were surprised by the 3% fee to use a credit card. Additionally, internet went down so we were held up in paying and getting out.

Had a great experience at the Rutledge. Rachel was so attentive and helpful with recommendations and making sure each course came out perfectly. I was very happy with our meal, dessert and appetizer. Will definitely add this to one of our favorite places.

Very good food, always consistent. Attentive server, though perhaps a little much. The French Dip and the burgers, chicken sandwiches are always good. Try the spinach dip and the prime rib, too. Stoney River has a better baked potato option.

New to the Franklin area and was excited to check out the local restaurants. Pressed Sushi App was very good, Ahi Tuna was of mediocre quality at best. Prime Rib and side came out room temperature. Lemon Berry cake was very good. This restaurant requires a credit card to make/hold a reservation then charges a 3% "convenience" fee to use it. From that I get the sense the management thinks it's a privilege to dine at their establishment. Based on other restaurants in the area, I disagree.

Rotisserie chicken was like jerky. Seemed to be reheated or something. We mentioned it to the waiter. They offered to bring more sauce to put on it. My wife couldn’t eat it. It was like the turkey on Christmas vacation…. They offered free desert, we said don’t worry about it. They did in the end, take the chicken off the bill. Later in the afternoon, I got a prank call from the number of the Rutledge, I called back, they said open table was hacked.whatever I suppose

We went out for my husband's birthday. We were seated in the room off of the bar and it was really cold in there. I didn't take off my coat. My husband ordered the prime rib with roasted brussell sprouts and loved it. Good portion size, tasted good. I had the tuscan shrimp pasta and wasn't impressed. The dish had 4 shrimp, 2 small cherry tomatoes, and 2 small pieces of cut red peppers. It was a small to medium portion, for a pasta dish, and was disappointed in the small number of shrimp it had for the price. We had to wait for silverware after our food was delivered. The drinks were good. I would most likely try it another night, hopefully we will get a table inside the building.

The restaurant is cold (both literally and aesthetically) - not cozy or welcoming at all. The staff was nice, but the food was just ok.

Very Good ! The Shrimp Tuscan was Good , the waitress told me it was going to be spicy (HOT) it was. I believe as I am a cook at home , they could cut back on the Red Pepper Flakes. James salmon he said was very good. We will come back and try other dishes.
