            If you’re looking for good food but terrible service, you’ve found it. Our waiter was slow and inattentive all night. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks, and another 10 minutes (and multiple requests) for lemons (which we requested with the initial order). I ordered a filet, which came to the table with a demi-glacé (the menu did not mention any topping). I asked the waiter if the glacé had mushrooms because of a severe food allergy. His response: “I don’t think so.” I asked him to confirm because of the potential consequences. He returned a few minutes later and said there were no mushrooms in the sauce. As I cut into my steak, a manager rushed to the table and said, “There are mushrooms in it.” The manager repeatedly joked, “I’m glad we caught it.” I explained I had gone into anaphylactic shock because of an allergy; it’s not funny. Twenty minutes later, the manager returned with my food. No apology; nothing was comped. Again, good food, but horrendous service that could’ve ended with a trip to the ER.

            Great food, Great service, and a great atmosphere. IMO the cost of the drinks were pretty high.

            We enjoyed the spicy tuna sushi and the $18 Havana banana cocktail. Meat was a bit overcooked and bland. I could not taste the Caribbean jerk seasoning. We had rotisserie chicken and mahi-mahi. The broccolini ordered in response to ‘what vegetable side would you like with that’ was $10 additional as a side to my $34 meal. It was simply steam cooked. It was surprising how few people were in there in the 7 o’clock hour on a Friday night, yet we were seated in the overflow sunroom. This used to be one of our favorite date night spots, but it feels like it’s slipping.

            The overall experience was good. I just believe that this restaurant is overpriced for what you get. Alcoholic beverages are overpriced. Overall, a good experience but a bit too pricey.

            Last minute choice and time well spent! Shrimp cocktail, Santa Monica roll, cornbread were all awesome! Great bottle of wine!
