I took an elderly friend there for lunch. She was very stressed beforehand about a problem with her car. We arrived too early for the booking but the staff were very understanding and helpful, which was much appreciated. The food, wine and service were all very good.

Lovely meal in a lovely setting. Bit pricier than usual pub grub but worth it for a special occasion.

Found food a bit bland and menu not particularly to my liking. Not been to the restaurant for a couple of years when food was excellent. We have a lot of choice in Jersey and for the same money would prefer other venues.

The food and staff were good and appreciated they were busy. But took exactly 45 minutes to receive a drink, food was arriving before our drinks arrived. With saying that we would dine again, and food was good.

We really enjoyed our meal, and thought it was very good value for 3 courses. We did find it very warm in front of the stove fire, but we needed to dry out from the pouring rain! We felt Covid safe, with plenty of hand gel, distanced tables, and track and trace obvious to sign in. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Great food, great value, friendly helpful staff. You can get cosy in the conservatory where they have a log fire or in the restaurant, both are great although I found the log fire a bit too warm so we sat in the restaurant which was still warm and cosy. Would recommend this for anyone wanting a relaxed meal.

A really good lunch, with sensible vegetarian options, I love the terrace, surrounded by trees. The staff are always so friendly and attentive, have already rebooked.

Filet steak sent back as raw and full of sinu. Ran out of steak so had cod and chips (minted peas) really with fish!! Charged us for side salad that was returned with the steak .. removed after commenting on bill .. over rated pub/restaurant .. pricy .. better value on the sea front .. of any location .

Restaurant is a really nice place, great location close to the beach and a nice ambience. However, service on the day was not good at all. We were left waiting with empty plates at least 25 minutes despite the staff passing us several times. They even cleared tables of people who finished eating after us, took their dessert/coffee orders, brought out their dessert/coffee twice before they finally got to us. There were only 3 tables being used in our area. They did however bring the bill very quickly! We're unlikely to go there again time soon and won't be taking our visitors either.

Excellent as always. Our favourite regular place to go on the island. Lovely goats cheese salad, tasty frites and a fabulous rosé! Thanks to the staff for always a lovely experience.

This is a great alternative to La Chaire, and easy walking distance. It has become very popular over the last couple of years so much so we were very glad we booked a table in advance. We had three evening meals there this week and the pulled pork burger and Tbone steak were favorite but all the food we had was amazing. We were on our 40th anniversary and only found Jersey was "open" again and booked the trip. All things considered this Pub is very high on our list.

Nice meal had seen seafood platter on line menu but not on the lunch menu we were shown but they were able to provide one for us

I was disappointed , had a steak which had to be sent back as it wasn’t cooked to spec , given a discount but that is not the point Service poor , they are understaffed in my view The Muzak was intrusive where we sat all in all a poor experience However , we had drink in the pub downstairs which was much more congenial

My wife and I had Roast Beef for a Sunday lunch. The beef was without doubt the best we had tasted for many a year. One preference would have been for the vegetables to have been provided in separate serving bowls rather than ‘plated up’.

Hi the only reason I have given a lower mark for the ambience was because there were lots of children dining and it wasn’t the relaxing personnel experience I would have preferred . The service and food was excellent . We booked for 8 pm maybe we should have booked later ? Overall pleasant and we would return or maybe eat at the hotel where it’s perhaps a bit quieter and more intimate

Saturday lunch in the garden, Wonderful food and very obliging staff as always. Great to see them back up and running we love coming down for Lunch at the weekends, Highly recommend.

We only ordered mains and they took just over an hour! Waitress waited till we were ordering to tell us what they had run out of. Drinks order was forgotten. Childrens portion was embarrassingly small. Overall a horrendous experience..one of my worst in nearly 20 years of dining in Jersey.

We loved the food, but the ambience wasn't what we expected possibly due to us eating early. We found the restaurant chilly. The waitress was excellent and was great with our grandson, who didn't want to eat. Our only complaint was the kids food, it was too fancy for our 5 year old. We also found it expensive for pub food, but that said it was fantastic, we would recommend to friends and will come back again.
