Great place for amazing food. Not recommended if you are wanting to have a quiet conversation, but the energy is very good. Service was excellent. Our server knew a lot about the menu and was able to make good recommendations. I would definitely go back!

One of my favorite restaurants. Service is exceptional. Food is creative and so , so good. And the ambiance is casual and special. Can't wait to go back!

No gluten free options and no substitutions allowed, so they wouldn’t let my friend get a breakfast burrito without the tortilla. Waiter was extremely kind though.

I brought my parents to brunch here last year for my mother’s 80th birthday and it was so amazing! When I planned this trip to LA, I immediately booked brunch again, remembering the line last year, grateful we’d had reservations. I should have been suspicious when there was no line. It was such a disappointment this time. Not as many great options imo, inattentive service and then mediocre food. Our cappuccinos were barely warm. Our French toast was burnt. The biscuits were amazing, but the waiter couldn’t tell us what flavor the jam was and we couldn’t really tell from the over sweetness and runny texture. The lemon ricotta pancakes were good, but not hot enough to melt the butter. Such a huge difference from last year.

This has been my second time here. The first time service was incredibly poor and took forever. This time around, it was the same - it took over 15 minutes to even have someone give us waters and another 10 for someone to ask just to have drinks. We waited another 20 minutes for him to come back and take our food order. The food and cocktails were average - nothing blew my skirt up that made the $200 bill. Coming from the customer service industry myself, the service was poor and I wont be returning.

Nice setting, friendly waiter , and wide ranging menu items! small portions and excessively priced. I have witnessed many changes but the ambiance will not be enough for me to return after 40 years!

The Rose in Venice, CA, offers a vibrant atmosphere and attentive service. Our Waiter was excellent. Very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. The outdoor seating is relaxing, and the pastries are a sweet treat. It's a must-visit spot for quality food and ambiance.

Service (Kate) was amazing. Fully knowledgable with the menu and wine pairings. All levels of servers were attentive and kind. Portions were on the small side, but well presented and delicious.

The food, service, and ambiance were excellent!!! The small and medium plates were larger than anticipated—what a nice surprise! We could have ordered one less plate, and we left happily full!!! The servers were always present to refill drinks and remove plates. They were all very kind and courteous! An exceptional dining experience. Go there! You will be happy you did!!!

Always a great experience here! Our waitress knew the menu well and had good recs. I love the Venice breakfast, and we tried the pastry bread. You can’t make a wrong choice :)

I used to come here all the time before they changed chefs. Portions decreased by half and prices went up 25%. No longer worth coming here for the value

I had an absolute amazing time. The brussels sprouts were next level and I had never been there before but was told that there was a new menu. Which from what we had was phenomenal, and even went with the suggestions from our waiter. He knocked it out of the park. Also, the desserts are next level did a pecan cinnamon swirl as well as a blueberry cake. highly recommend this place if you’re local or on vacation. One of Venice’s best!

Great service from Keith. As the restaurant is still settling in with a new chef, everything was delish. Though some things better than others. Muscles and octopus are a must. Hanger steak was… OK. Desserts were tasty but undercooked conceptually. Overall, one of the better dining experiences you can have in Venice Beach, but you’re gonna pay for it.

Wow, I haven’t visited the Rose since they got a new chef and a new menu, and though the food was tasty- the portions they label “share” aren’t really enough to share and at those prices- you better associate The Rose with fine dining. The tuna crudo was $26 for 3 sashimi slices of fish. The bucatini is still delicious albeit a bit more salty but the portion size for $26 was placed in a cereal size bowl. The fritto Misto was perfectly sized and satisfying. The hanger steak, also perfectly cooked was $44 for 6 slivers of meat and 3 pieces of cauliflower. I think they should just change it to a tasting menu for $85-$125 pp so you don’t walk away feeling so unsatisfied or hungry- we ordered parker rolls for $15- because 4 dishes wasn’t filling for 3 people. Or try it knowing “share” doesn’t really mean share- it means order more.

We were celebrating a co-worker’s birthday. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and our waitress was very accommodating and super friendly. It was a beautiful day so lovely to sit outside.

We had a great time! Pre fixe Easter menu. Waitstaff was attentive even though it was busy. We tried a few items outside our comfort zone. Enjoyed two of them not so much the chia pudding.

We went to Rose as a group of 4 and had a great experience. I think they have a smaller menu than they used to, but I enjoyed the food more than usual (maybe because they are able to master the smaller menu)

Chilaquiles are chips, sauce and cheese. $28 is delusional. Other dishes are worth that value, but that dish needs to be reevaluated. There were children throughout the entire restaurant. Perhaps look into seating families in one area.

Wow has the rose changed! This was THE place I took visiting friends and family — no longer will do that. The executive chef changed as did the menu. The biscuits — that I have considered the best I’ve ever had (I lived in the south for 10 years), have changed dramatically. They are not special at all and surely take a fraction of the time to make. The menu was limited and not impressive. Really no vegan options and limited vegetarian. Flavor and size of portions have been decreased with no change in cost. Service was dismal. It feels as if the love has been sucked right out of the rose. I will not be returning again — so sad after going 10+ times over the past few years.

A bit of a wait for our table despite having a reservation and slow to get service started with water, etc. but after that the service was great and we enjoyed everything we ordered from cocktails to lunch and pastries.

I dined at The Rose twice last week, once on Tues night at the bar - the food arrived all at once and the main was cold by the time we ate it. The next visit was on Sat night with a large group. I asked the server to course out the food and he assured me he would - I briefly explained what happened on the previous visit. Apps/veg landed in one go before our drinks landed. After waiving the server over, we were informed they were out of the wine we chose. So, we chose a different one and enjoyed that and the rest of our dinner. One dish never arrived but we were done eating at that point so I said not to bother bringing it out. The server apologized and said he would pick up the dessert tab. When the bill arrived, the dessert charge was on it - he did not do as he said he would. Overall the food was super tasty but the coursing is super annoying and completely ruined the experience for me. I think the pacing of dinner, being able to cheers a drink before tons if food arrive and people doing as they say they will are all really important. They make it break the experience. It just seemed the server could care less about the overall experience.
