Since taking over the venue, we have been working hard to transform the building into a truly special pub, restaurant and coffee house.

Whatever reason you may have for visiting us – a healthy or hearty breakfast, a coffee with home-baking beside our wood-burning stove or downstairs with the kids in the play area, fantastic food with family in our restaurant, a glass of wine or a local beer with friends in our bar or on the riverside terrace – we assure you of a friendly welcome from staff who care.

Please let us know when you book if you are bringing your dog and we will reserve a suitable table.

The Riverside really is our dream come true and we look forward to welcoming you through its doors.

    Another wonderful lunch at The Riverside. Excellent food and I’d especially like to say that the service is always outstanding. It’s a joy to visit. Always exceptional.

    Excellent all around. Pity there were some very loud Americans at a near by table … grandfather’s will wasn’t really something we wanted to hear discussed!! So sadly on this occasion it was noisy. 🙊

    We would like to thank Jo, Lisa and the rest of the staff for 3 lovely evenings of really good food . We can definitely recommend the olives and ciabatta followed by a superb pizza.

    One of the meals was inedible when we complained we were not charged for it. However the meal should never have been presented to us in the first place. The food in this restaurant is very much hit or miss unfortunately it’s the only restaurant in town.

    It was our first time having dinner at The Riverside, we had a fabulous outdoor seat overlooking the river, the service was fabulous and food delicious, my dog also enjoyed it and was made most welcome, thank you

    Absolutely delighted with our meals and service. Booked en route to Glasgow via Google maps entry, couldn’t believe how lucky we were to get an outside table on such a beautiful day. Restaurant was packed but service was slick! Can’t wait to try their sister restaurants at bridge of Allan and Doune. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
