Welcome to The Rex Seaside Steakhouse.

A neighborhood steakhouse using seasonal and quality ingredients to bring flavor and hospitality to Redondo Beach. Join us in our dining room every night or our Drift Cocktail Lounge on Friday and Saturdays for a night to remember.

Intentionally sourced with an eye for quality, we offer USDA Prime, Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu, and American Wagyu. All are steaks are cooked to perfection over our white oak fire.

Family-owned and operated, we strive to off a one-of-a-kind luxury experience with all the charm of a neighborhood restaurant.

As a local business owner, I also strive for creating an experience for all who come into my Salon, it’s not just about the services we provide, but the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE , from the moment you enter, till the end of your visit. I feel that The Rex provides that exact same thing. It’s not just the food and drinks, which are outstanding, (Thank you Chef Walter and awesome bartenders!), The Servers are all well trained and very attentive, and give you that (old school service!) that one expects in a high end establishment. The Rex is far from a stuffy upscale restaurant, but more like a “Family” restaurant if you would, and is ALWAYS SPOT ON every time I dine here! Excellent as usual. I have been dining here since it has opened and Rex is top notch and never disappoints with superior service and food. Kyle is always a pro with excellent customer service and makes us feel welcome and special. Looking forward to our next visit real soon.

We celebrated our 19th anniversary last night at Rex, the service was Exceptional!!!! They pulled out all the stops! Even a signed personalized card from the staff! The Food was amazing as always! And the wine pairing was perfect!!! I would give this place 10 stars ✨ if it were an option!!! Well done! Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!!! Thank you Rex for an amazing evening!!!

Our Waiter was amazing…. After taking a few bites from each item I was immediately taken by the flavors and compositions of each meal. The nueskes bacon with the scallion ranch dressing on the wedge was oh so good. I love that they tell you what each meal consists of before you take a bite, it makes every taste that much more enjoyable…. See you next week!

We love the Rex! Perfect date night spot. We love their cocktails, the Bread, Carrots and the staff. Such an amazing meal with delicious entrees that I switch up every time!

Loved eating upstairs!! We were a group of six.. food was great, service was great and loved how the upstairs was both private feeling and quiet so we could enjoy great conversation!! I highly recommend the onion ring appetizer .. something that we wouldn’t regularly order and it was FABULOUS!!! The lamb shank, steaks, short ribs and burgers were all wonderful and dessert of Budino and the Pound cake was a huge hit!!! Can’t wait go back…

First Time Dining at Rex. My family and I went to Rex to celebrate mothers Day. We started by ordering cocktails. My wife ordered the pinacilllin, my daughters ordered blood & sand and I had a Chopan martini followed by bread , Spanish octopus and Crudo I highly recommend that you try all six. For the main course My wife had the 8 oz filet mignon, Daughters had the salmon, short rib, and I had the best rib eye steak in my life. Love the fact that you are giving plenty of time to enjoy the food and you are not being rushed like in many other restaurants. Love Rex and will definitely be back.
