Located underneath the historical Jacksonville Inn in Jacksonville, Oregon, the restaurant serves modern wine country cuisine, fine wines and handcrafted cocktails.
Being Family Owned and Operated and the matriarch originating from Florence, Italy, we strongly believe in the magic of food and the power it has to being families together. The service was so bad and everything went wrong. Appetizers and entrees came at the same time. Long wait to get the appetizers and even long for the main course. Food was not what we expected for a restaurant with this price level.

Went for Mother’s Day brunch and was not aware it was buffet. Buffet was not good, food was cold and they were not replenishing the food at all. When they replenished the tray, the new food was already cold. :( They only had dessert plates for the buffet. We had to ask for actual dinner size plates. Server forgot our drinks and took the server way too long to come back to our table to check on us. Brunch was overpriced. For 4 people it was $180. Not able to order off of the menu during the brunch buffet. If I could I would rate it a 0. We won’t be back and it is a shame because we live close by to downtown Jacksonville.

I was not expecting a buffet brunch. It was not advertised as that. The price was far too expensive for what we received in part because they were not replenishing the buffet. The deserts looked like they were purchased at Costco. I will not return.

Many unfortunate things about this very expensive dinner. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, no one came to table for 30 minutes. First beverage served after an hour. Fortunately the ambience was nice. Very small portions for the price. We ended up deciding to leave before meals arrived after having been there 2. 5 hours! Staff was friendly, but completely confused about orders, who had been served? Multiple tables around us were also leaving early. Incredibly sad, because historically it was a great restaurant, now under new ownership. They need management. Also, can only use a flight of stairs to get into and out of restaurant, which was not ideal for our elderly parents.

It is a must-go if you visit Jacksonville. It is a family-run restaurant. the only reason I gave a lower rating on the service was we sat inside and they had an outside dining that was full. The food is done to perfection. We definitely will go back when we visit again in fall.

We love Decant in Medford, but we were ecstatic to learn that the Jacksonville Inn is now home to half the Decant family. Both restaurants are among the very best in Oregon- or anywhere. We hope Jacksonville and Medford realize and take full advantage of these gems!

Fast efficient seating. Choice of plain or sparkling$ water. For 2, we split the clam appetizer and andive salad which both were great. Focaccia bread with olive oil. Dinners were crusted halibut and filet mignon with scalloped potatoes, asparagus, braise shortrib. Both were delicious. Desserts were a pasion fruit tart with coconut ice great and a brownie with a syrup and ice cream. These are not large desserts but very high end with several blended flavors. A+++++. Staff and owner were great.

I have eaten here many times on my trip to So Oregon, I love this town. This is the best meal I’ve ever had at Jacksonville Inn.

What an extraordinary evening. We opted to sit in the bistro. The fireplace was perfect ambience, the light jazz background music complimented the feeling. The service was beyond compare with the owner and family all spending time at the table sharing their stories from Italy to Jacksonville making it a memorable personal experience. We chose the Belgian endive and Rogue Creamery blue cheese salad off the dinner menu to start, then opted to shift to the Bistro menu for the petrale sole and chicken scallopini for mains. Everything was hot, beautifully presented and tasty beyond compare. This restaurant will soon take off, so don’t wait to get a reservation. It will be a local hit, a worthwhile destination for those from Ashland (us) or across Medford and the greater Rogue Valley, and clearly for those visitors in for the Britt or other regional events. Good Luck to The Restaurant at the Jacksonville Inn. Thank you for a perfect night!

The steamed clams were a little spicy for our taste, but a generous portion. We both had the Denver steak, which was amazing. So tender & flavorful. The drinks from the bar were good, but took awhile given we were the only patrons at the time. We will definitely go back.

Beautiful restaurant, the service was wonderful and the food was outstanding. I had a wild mushroom and goat cheese omelette and it was probably the best omelette I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back!

Great experience start to finish, a frequent favorite, every entreé excellent. Salmon can be requested rare and comes out rare with the fun foamy just-a-touch of horseradish, delicious straightforward risotto al dente, tender (milk-infused?) lamb pasta, and a worthy steak/rib combo. Good and more interesting than usual in the valley wine list, quiet enough for fun and/or serioius conversation. Definitely a place for visitors to select and for locals to enjoy over and over again!

Was highly disappointed in Jacksonville Inn now. We paid $16.00 for a beet salad which ended up being 8 pces 1/2-3/4 inch beets (4 red 4 yellow) 4 bites of greens and cheese. Main meal was small portion no bread for $40.00 No special and only 4 items main entree; very limited menu. Been a few years since been there but this time left hungry. No wonder place was not busy as in the past very spending for not much.

We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the meal immensely. The house Old Fashioned was great as was the rabbit gnocchi and winter squash soup. Will definitely return.

Overall, great experience. New owners have done a great job. We are very picky people. Given a five star is the best meal we’ve ever eaten, this was a solid four star experience. We definitely go again. Fun place. Great service.

Res at 5pm, however, we learned that their delightful bar opened at 4pm for happy hour. We had great seating of our choice around the lit fireplace. Awesome fillet du minion. Exceptional butter clams in a very unique sauce. Highly recommended!

I'm going to be completely honest when I say if I didn't have to rate the food so high I wouldn't. Called ahead to be sure they would have the entree my whole family of 4 would want, they said yes and we came in, they decided to stop serving the 1 entree I called in advance for because they overbooked with a party of 50. We ordered our food over medium to be sure my gma could eat it and they couldn't even do that correctly. The stake was raw, the burger was raw, and it's highly unfortunate they recommend the octopus because that was possibly the worse item the whole night. The service was genuinely horrible (probably because they had a party of 50 they were prioritizing over other people) the water guy came the most. Really wish this was the experience of a lifetime like I had hoped. The seasoning was all wrong and quite disappointed someone thought that up and put it on my plate. I've worked and kitchens and been around them enough to know this was the single handedly most horrible restaurant I've been to in a long long time. WILL NEVER WASTE MY MONEY HERE AGAIN. The alcohol was a nice touch so we could drink enough to forget we ever bought food there or came there.

The Restaurant at the Jacksonville Inn is a gift for the Rogue Valley. For a birthday dinner, my daughter and I were treated like royalty and served the most elegant food! We split four items, and each one was created to perfection. We had not had such a purely wonderful dining experience in some time. We look forward to going back to further sample the menu and bliss out in the intimate ambiance while being cared for by the impeccable staff. Welcome to the Valley!!!

We started with an array of appetizers - charred octopus, steamed clams and golden and red beets. All were super good! 😊. Our entrees were filet mignon with short rib which I thought was odd to pair them together, crispy duck and a beef bourguignon. All were scrumptious though I could have used a bit more sauce on the beef bourguignon. It was so good! We loved our server! She was attentive and had a great personality. We will be back for sure. I’ve already recommended to friends and family.

Exceptional intimate dining experience. Recently reopened with new chef and staff. Menu features fresh (locally sourced when available) creative options to tempt you. Excellent wine cellar with varied domestic and international options with a knowledgeable wine steward to assist you with your selections. Attentive wait staff but unobtrusive. Desserts to die for. Simply the perfect place for a special occasion.

Outstanding wait staff! Honestly the best fillet minion I have ever had. We were there for our wedding anniversary and we mentioned it to let the staff know we were having a great diner. They brought champagne complimentary. They also offered to comp our desert, but we were full and declined. This was one of our most enjoyable anniversary diners yet! Thank you again!

Todd is an amazing chef, and the ambience is the best in the Valley. Considering the consistent quality of the food, the professional service with Miriam at the helm, and their reasonable pricing on the wines, plus the ability to dine in the rustic bar area, replete with a warming fireplace, the dining experience is the best value around.

Incredible atmosphere in the downstairs restaurant. Very cozy and elegant, like a high-class speakeasy. And very friendly staff. Our waiter forgot a few things, but then made up for it. Excellent steak and duck.

Our favorite restaurant in town, actually, in all of Oregon. The food is incredible, we have never had anything less than stellar. The service is fantastic, and the ambiance is simply perfect. Great for date night, a cocktail, a meal with your family, and every special occasion. Not to be missed!
