The outdoor dining is beautiful. Most of the food was wonderful however the cacio de Pepe was not my favorite. The other dishes like the flatbread were fantastic and so were the cocktails. The manager handled our one issue as a great restaurant should. We would go back.

A 10/10 experience in every way. Karen went absolutely above and beyond - her menu recommendations were spot on and was incredibly helpful is selecting the exact wine we were looking for. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - the food was fabulous, service was exceptional. And absolute “can’t miss” if you are having dinner in Yountville

Appetizers were outstanding (we had tuna tartare, potato pave, and strawberry gazpacho, all beautifully presented and delicious), and excellent pizza Marguerite . Excellent wine list, fairly priced. The pasta mains and risotto were very good but overpriced and not as adventurous as the apps. Service in the bar was quite slow. A large loud party in the bar affected the noise level a lot, which can happen; but they also affected the service, which should have been dealt with by the manager and other servers jumping in to help the bartender. One other minor complaint- the bread was just mediocre, which takes some doing in the SF Bay area. But we will return- it’s our 3rd time there and the spectacular dishes make it worth the trip every time.

A relaxing dinner with attentive service and delicious pasta and bread is what we experienced at North Block. The wild mushroom small pizza and spaghettoni were memorable. The wine by the glass menu is somewhat limited but offers good local options. We didn’t share our wait staff’s enthusiasm for the caramel pudding dessert, but it was tasty. Our dining group of four would heartily recommend stopping here.

The chef loves vinegar, sweet and sour combinations. The dressing on my Cobb salad was not what I expected. Bread and butter pickles and a sweet slaw with the fried chicken was too much vinegar for my companion. Great friendly service and beautiful setting. We had a late addition to our party and it was not a problem

Very disappointed in our visit lastnight for dinner. Service was unprofessional, unfriendly and indifferent. The server did not care to explain any part of the menu, build a rapport with our party and was more focused on ‘looking busy’ than offering gracious service. An example of the server fail, when asked which pasta patrons resonated with his response was his favorite choice. Server could not read body language and was incapable of communicating professional hospitality. On a side note, there was a couple with a SCREAMING crying baby in the dining room, staff and manager did not ask the guests to be considerate of other diners. Understandable the baby crying is out of the guests control because babies cry, but parents shouldn’t take a child to a nice restaurant of this caliber. Management should’ve had a chat with the diners to preserve other patrons experience at the restaurant, a failure on the restaurant manager. I loathe beautiful restaurants that fails in hospitality and professionalism, however the food was very good; small portions but tasty. I would not return to this restaurant since there are so many choices in the Napa Valley area.

Disappointed. Our mains the pasta and flatbread fell short on seasoning and execution; the mussels and fries were good. Service was not friendly, but fine.

We came here for dinner after a tasting across the street at Jessup Cellars. Everything we chose from the Happy Hour & regular menu was excellent, as were our drinks and wine menu choices. We were a party of 6. Our server was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Despite changes last year, the new chef provides outstanding cooking and continues the great reputation of this restaurant. Our favorite in Yountville despite major competition ! Service-oriented and most friendly waiters and waitresses complement the great food experience in this outstanding restaurant. Keep it going, we'll be back many more times.

A lovely and quiet restaurant. Duke was a knowledgeable server and both he and the wait staff were efficient and friendly. Lobster bisque was super delicious. The pasta with crab shavings was also very tasty.

This is our new favorite restaurant in Yountville !! The food is great ! Love their flatbreads and pasta dishes especially! We recommend it to all our friends that came to Yountville!! Karen is our go to server and she always takes good care of us !!

Haven't been in for a while, and the wait was pretty much worth it. They've grown into their spot here. Karen, our server, was outstanding. Also met David a new hire (3 months) on the management side of things. As a local, we live in SoYo and the restaurant is in NoYo, we appreciate the waived corkage. My wife had the grouper, which was outstanding. I had the Cacio de Peppa, which was 'ok'. The recommended budino for dessert was over the top.

For a restaurant in a hotel. This place is awesome. I took my wife for her Birthday and she loved it. The attention to detail of the servers is on point. Watch them serve other tables and it looked like they were dancing. I would highly recommend. But be prepared to break the bank :)

I did not know what to expect here but I am so glad to have gone. Would go again. The chefs do some marvelous pairings of fruits & vegetables in the salads. Almost magical! The homemade pasta was just enough, tasty & satisfying. The beef was a total treat: the NY strip steak. I would order the creamy potatoes & foraged mushrooms again. Great bar drinks & wonderful wine list. Many dishes are made to share.

We had a great experience at North Block. We ordered Cioppino, Caccio e Pepe, Tuna Tartare, and the Beet Salad. Everything was absolutely delicious and I would totally go back.

The Restaurant at North Block (hotel) went through at least two stages of evolution before arriving at today's very attractive offering. The decor is striking yet comfortable, with visually stunning giant moonlights and a high ceiling that encourages conversation. The menu is a short list of expertly executed, fresh, modern versions of favorite dishes, usually with an innovative but not silly twist. The wine list is similarly short, with thoughtful selections offering excellent value from local and international producers. The staff well trained, welcoming, and efficient. Highly recommended by this wine industry local, who especially appreciates the stellar burger and the steamed mussels.
