Welcome to The Red Oak Restaurant, we are available for dine-in and patio seating as well as curbside pickup. If you would like to order for pickup please call 262-857-8588.

We specialize in carefully prepared local and seasonal cuisine served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Firmly rooted in southeastern Wisconsin, The Red Oak celebrates the richness of the area by crafting dishes and drinks from locally grown produce, humanely raised animals, and locally produced artisanal cheeses, beers and spirits.

Went to the Sunday brunch with two of my adult granddaughters, and we had a time limit, even though it was closing at 2 o’clock we didn’t get our food till almost then. one of my granddaughters had to leave for an appointment. We did come there at 12:30. Our waitress seemed very new, and forgot many things, and was not quick to follow up. We waited over an hour after ordering to actually get our food. two of the three meals were quite good.

After a wait for on/off service, our first waitress went left because she was not feeling well. Or second waitress had a very positive can-do attitude. She seemed like the only waitress handling 15-plus tables. Food was very salty x2 dishes. Other 2 dishes had no complaints. Then it took 20-minutes just to be able ask for our check. In all, we’re not sure we’ll return—this being our fourth visit…

Our food took well over an hour. There was no warning when we ordered that it would take that long and our server did not acknowledge it until an hour had passed. Really put a tamper on what was supposed to be a nice Mother’s Day brunch. The server did apologize, but nothing was comped. We were so hungry that we couldn’t even enjoy the food.

The Red Oak restaurant is a hidden gem. All of the staff was so kind during our time there. I love that everything is locally sourced and there’s a lot of intention behind how the menu is crafted and prepared. With that said, some of the items appeared better on paper than in execution. The rib tips, eggs, and potatoes were meh. The potatoes were slightly undercooked and flavorless, the rib tips cooked like a steak (I’ve only ever seen had them served slow cooked so this was a surprise- they were more like steak bites). The risotto was missing the asparagus that was supposed to come with and it was chewy, but the chef did a wonderful job of fixing it and the second time out it tasted amazing. Seriously, you should try it. The strawberry rhubarb French toast was also absolutely delicious. So some great hits and a miss. The other items on the menu though are calling my name so I will be back. I would love to come for dinner too!

Went for Mother’s Day brunch with my wife and 2 kids. Food was very good, as was the service. Have eaten at Red Oak many times and have never been disappointed. Always great service and great food.
