Located in the heart of the East Village at the top of the Moxy East Village The Ready is an all-season rooftop oasis perfect for after-work drinks, weekend revelry and private events. Collegial yet refined, The Ready at Moxy East Village feels like an escape from the New York daily grind. The eclectic décor (string lights, a vine-strewn mural, a bar made of plastic milk crates) and unique food and beverage offerings create a relaxed rooftop experience—like a coveted New York City backyard. The retractable glass walls and roof allow for all-season panoramic views of the East Village and beyond.

We are currently accepting reservations up to 30 days in advance but walk-ins are welcome pending availability.

The venue is strictly 21+. Valid ID required for entry.

The food and drinks ordering process at the table is awful. Orders weren't processed correctly, we waited a long time for food and drinks to arrive. When we spoke to staff and asked for help they were responsive, and the bar staff were great!, but waiting 30mins for a drink and an hour for food at 5pm when the place isn't even that busy is inexcusable. We won't be back

The staff was so nasty to us except for Alex the waiter (he was lovely!). But the manager who refused to give me her name, and her assistant / the hostess could not have been ruder or less accommodating to our party. I’ve never been so appalled in my life at this kind of attitude and behavior. 0/10 do not recommend.

Went to this rooftop with a few girlfriends and had a blast. It’s so good for tacos and cheap drinks during their happy hour. I would recommend getting there early even if you have a reservation, because the line builds up to go up the elevator and check ID’s, and is unfortunately shared with the hotel if they need to use their service elevator. I missed 40 minutes of the reservation due to this, despite being on time.

great place to take pics for instagram and a small bite to eat. however did not like the ordering system. when purchasing my items I had to do it twice on my phone for it can go thru. then some glitch happen where I was charge twice for a drink. but the view of the restaurant was nice.

Cool setting/music but the clientele there was a bit strange. We were the only young people there. The serivce was fast but the bartenders seemed overwhelmed. They have a TV but the bartenders looked at me like I had two heads when I asked if they could turn it on. There was a Knicks playoff game on, so I thought it was a pretty standard request.

The hostess checked us in for our reservation was fantastic - super sweet and someone showed us our table. But upon ordering - the waitress that brought our drinks said nothing just placed the drinks on the table, knocked into the table while walking away and said nothing… but then she made 1 drink wrong, so went up to her at the bar and she said nothing, took the drink added the blueberry mix and then placed in back on the bar. Just rude service by her overall - typically an apology, oh I’m sorry let me fix that - especially since I placed the order through the QR code so there was no misunderstanding of what was ordered. I’ve been here during happy hour before and it’s wonderful - but non- happy hour times, don’t recommend. The library of distilled spirits is 2 blocks away, the drinks are better, cheaper and the waiter will actually speak to you!

Very chill & nice place , I loved the scenery! The staff workers were extremely nice aswell ! Food & drinks were amazing !! And those chicken tacos were amazing aswell!! If I could give it 6 stars I would .

Went there for Happy Hour - great place to go to chat, have margaritas and eat. Loved the fact that you can pay from your phone, and not wait for a bill. The Margaritas were delish!!

I visited The Ready Roof bar after hearing about their $9 margaritas and $1 tacos, but was disappointed to learn that the special prices were only during happy hour. Upon entering, the hostess had her back turned to the front door, which was a bit unwelcoming. However, she eventually turned around and helped us to our seats. We had to use a QR code on a flyer to order our food, which was confusing and difficult. There was a group of people standing very close to our table, which made us uncomfortable until they moved to another area. We ordered beef tacos, guacamole and chips, and two margaritas, which took over 45 minutes to arrive. The total bill came to $122, which felt expensive despite the good food. Overall, the combination of high prices and poor service makes me unsure if I'll return, even though the food was enjoyable.

The host downstairs was amazing! She was able to reschedule my reservation ( I made at 8:30 my mistake) The place is nice and the service good. We live the happy hours and the margaritas! The only thing was the tacos, a little simple for me :( I understand that is a 1$ taco but is happy hour, I found this place at IG and the tacos on the video looks very good.

Beautiful winterized rooftop. We went for the happy hour and had a blast. Margaritas and tacos were tasty, and a great precursor to our fun-filled night in NYC!

Going inside the place it looks good and it would definitely be a good place to go in the winter time but overall they have the worst service ever. I will never go to this place again also, how is it a Mexican place and you don’t have no Mexican hot sauce Never again

A great happy hour deal (only wish it was longer!), very nice staff, and fun decor. The $1 tacos were delicious and the $9 margaritas were tasty.

It was definitely an experience. The overall atmosphere is good with all the decorations everywhere but there's not much of a selection for drinks that aren't 20+ Dollars. And you have to order through the phone and not talk to anyone. We got seated at the door near the hostess area and it wasn't busy so we didn't get the full feel for the place. We spent 40 bucks for two tiny drinks that barely had any alcohol in them. There are better rooftop bars in my opinion, def my fault for trying a new one based off pictures on a website.

The holiday decor was really pretty and that's the whole reason we went, however, there were no festive holiday drinks and the alcohol menu was pretty limited. You had to order on an app so if the exact drink you wanted it wasn't listed, it was confusing. There really aren't any servers other than the person running your drink from the bar and the bartenders. We didn't eat but the people around us who had food seem to enjoy it. Honestly, the drink list was disappointing which is what lowered our rating.

it’s was great. just make sure you don’t go to close to closing they don’t play about closing at 11. but overall a 10/10 experience, ALEX was absolutely amazing and the complete life of the party and appreciate him for making sure me and my girls had a best time while we were there.

I recommend sitting at the bar to get faster service. The tables are order through QR but when we ordered, I had to go to the bar to follow up.

The decor was really cute and the staff was nice, but this was supposed to be a ~holiday pop-up~ and there were no themed drinks or food or anything—not even music. The drinks were so meh and so over-priced for what they were. And everything came in plastic, which just doesn’t feel up to the money you’re spending. But really the main problem is how dirty everything was—our water cups arrived with food on them, and my seat had dropped food all over it.

Great time during the Christmas season. Small cozy little place with adorable decorations and a warm atmosphere. We didn't have to leave our table for anything! Order from your table and everything was brought right to us

Unable to order for too long since the website order system was absolutely atrocious. Never got water either. They cut out all the service and use only the app to request. Drinks are terrible not worth the price or the effort to make a reservation and come.

I had a party there, and it was AMAZING. The staff were incredible. The ambience was wonderful. I am SO SO thankful to them. 10/10 would throw another party here!!!!!!

We held a post-screening reception for my daughter's film that was part of the DOC NYC film festival. The crew at Ready Rooftop could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Our guests loved the venue and service was perfect. We ordered a bottle of champagne for the film crew to celebrate and the staff made it a major event with sparklers and a dramatic presentation. Special thanks to Jess for making everything go so smoothly.

The IG pics made this place look great. It was lovely but didn't seem as nice as the pics. Perhaps a bit young as well. Servers were so so nice though. I don't think we would go back but it was worth checking out once.

Great Venue! We went on Wednesday and it was beautiful outside and perfect for the rooftop! The happy hour margaritas and 1$ tacos are stellar! Perfect place for parties, date nights or you just want to relax on the rooftop! It also has very nice views!
