It was nice place, but they closed the patio which make the restaurant much more enjoyable. I felt like the prices were very inflated. A one course meal with for two with no drinks or bread was $80 and it wasn't like we had stake and lobster. The food wasn't anything special either. Disappointing!

Lunch was the perfect mix of wonderful food, impeccable service by Lisa, and the beautiful patio setting. The compressed arugula salad with salmon was delicious with a glass of Prosecco. My husband had the huge hamburger that was cooked perfectly was served with a large salad. It was a delightful experience. We’ll be back.

Date night special. 63$++ included a bottle of wine. Single salad for two + two entrees. Not bad. Ambiance was great. Service was ok.

How do you keep customers coming back? Do what The Prado does. First off, the food is delicious. I had a meal that I would never be able to make at home, which is why you go out. Second, have incredible people working there. Everyone was absolutely friendly, and had a smile on their face. Finally, it was our anniversary, and we received a card that was signed by the staff. Now, I don't know if they truly enjoy signing a card for strangers, but it was still an incredible gesture that really helps make one want to come back. Also, the Happy Anniversary Flan was also wonderful. You can guarantee we will be back.

First of all, the Absolute Best Raspberry Lemon Drop Martinis anywhere. Food was delicious and service could not have been better. My group of friends and I love The Prado.

Great atmosphere but the food was not great. We split the paella and the chicken fricassee—the paella was all rice with barely any seafood. The fricassee was just not good. Too bad as the ambiance is gorgeous and the service was very good.

The Prado is a fun place to visit and eat mostly because the Balboa park venue is beautiful. My wife and I have been visiting for many years, and we feel like the quality of the food has been in a decline. There are many much better San Diego restaurants to eat.

We have eaten at the Prado multiple times before, so I was surprised at how disappointing this meal was. The food was just not very good. I ordered the shrimp cocktail, and the shrimp had little to no flavor. My husband ordered the Seared Prime Beef Sushi Roll. I had a few pieces and it was mostly rice, with very little in the middle. My husband had ordered this appetizer before and the rice to inside veggies ratio was significantly higher this time around. For dinner, I ordered the pan-roasted sea bass, it was overcooked and quite dry. The veggie puree around the fish was no great shakes either. I will never order either of these two dishes again. If this had been my first time eating at the Prado, I would never go back. But it has been fine in the past.

The paella lacked flavor. The fish and sausage in the paella were good, but it seemed that the chef totally forgot and herbs or spice. It was disappointing. In general, though, we love the Prado.

Nice place but parking is very difficult specially for a handicapped person. My fish burger was very bland and not enjoyable. High marks for the calamari, outstanding! Service was very good.

We ate before the 2pm show at the Old Globe. Our reservation was at noon and the restaurant was fairly empty. Service was great, ambience is always nice at the Prado. Food was good. I had the chicken caesar salad and it was just Ok. Chicken was dry and tough. My wife’s beet salad was very good. Carrot cake was superb. Really good restaurant. Can’t go wrong there.

I love this restaurant. In the heart of Balboa park it’s a perfect place to end your day. Good food and fun decor. The problem is parking especially on weekends. We spent 40 minutes circling the limited options before finding the holy grail. The restaurant used to offer valet parking. I don’t know why they stopped.

Service is great but I think their value proposition has declined. $35 for maybe 5 oz of salmon , barely pan fried in color , a boring Beure blanc sauce and a half cup of Sautéed bok Choy. A little sesame rice None of it seasoned with anything interesting is not standard to which I held the Prado in the past

The food, service, and ambiance were incredible. I had the salmon with rice and vegetables. It was one of the best meals I have ever had. My daughter had pasta norma. She loved it!! The margaritas were also delicious (Pomegranate and Blood Orange). The Prado is always a great idea for any occasion.

We’re there for my wife’s birthday. The Prada greeted her with a b-day card when we set down. The food was excellent and Beto our server was fantastic. Very attentive and had some great suggestions on food and wine.

Good menu options for lunch and waiter was excellent. The additional surcharge the restaurant charges to cover wage increases is an 8nsult and money grab by the CRG restaurants. Figure a way to reduce your overhead and costs instead of sticking it to your customers at all of your restaurants.

I made the reservation for our 6 year anniversary via Open Table and was very happy with the reservation. I acted normal as I was trying to surprise my wife of any surprises. I requested best seat in the house and it did not disappoint as when we were seated my wife said "this is the best seat in the house". It was a wonderful lunch, with excellent service and amazing food. I am so happy that my reservation was reviewed and very surprised when our server even brought out a dessert with a Happy Anniversary card which just floored my wife. Her and I were so impressed as stated earlier in the staff, food and ambience. Thank you to The Prado at Balboa Park for an amazing memory! We will definitely be back to this 5 star location.
