The Potting Shed is a place to meet, eat, drink, relax and chat your day and night away – where hanging plants, terracotta pots and timber beams meet brass, brick and iron. Where you can plant yourself down on the swing seat, bench or at the bar and feel like you are on your family’s porch.

It’s a lively place where you can hoe into fresh, locally harvested produce, delivered by our shed-hands. The same hands that will deliver you good-natured banter, craft beers on tap, great tasting wines and unique cocktails.

The menu offers cozy share options for groups, three course substantial meal choices for those wanting to make an evening of it and a fun selection of nibbles for people wanting a light after-work snack with their cocktails or a share jug amongst friends.

    Our $75 per person share menu is in place for all groups of 10 guests or more with a 10% gratuity applicable to your final bill. Terms & conditions: - Exclusive use of The Lock-In has a 3 hour sitting time. - Please note, our group menu is required for all guests in your party over 12 years of age. - The Lock-In feast is unavailable between 2.15pm- 4.45pm. - Any dietary requirements must be confirmed with us at least 24 hours in advance.     My daughter had her 18th birthday at the Potting Shed last night and we had a fantastic experience! We booked the Lock In room and the food was great, service was amazing ... we had the lovely Mabel! Overall, it was a special night and The Grounds did not disappoint!

    Food was fresh and delicious. Delivered very quickly. Only sight confusion on ordering another kids pasta but good and prompt waiter service made up for it.

    Amazing service even with a last-minute booking increase in numbers, booking staff were very accommodating with what i wanted. Waitress was very friendly, helpful and patient.

    What a beautiful place to eat. The special touches they put on their cocktails and food presentation is what makes this a special experience. The staff are all attentive and accommodating to your needs.

    The Potting Shed is my favourite restaurant but I feel the new menu isn’t quite living up to past offerings. I felt like it was missing some hearty winter warmer meals. I had the fish and chips and my niece the steak. Both meals the French fries were overcooked and dry… also, being so fine, cold by the time they got to the table. Bring back the thick chunky chips! Hopefully with a few tweaks by the time I take my sibling there for their birthday in a couple of weeks, there will be a few more wintry offerings on the menu. As always the service was excellent.
