Condensation on windows inside, very warm we had to ask to open the window and other customers dining were grateful. No ambience, food was mediocre not what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Service was fantastic and couldn’t fault the staff, they were very attentive and lovely. But chips were hard, butter so cold you couldn’t spread, the squid was tough, we went for our anniversary and just came away feeling very underwhelmed. Have dined at the one in Abersoch and it’s been fantastic every time it’s a shame about this one

First time at the Potted Lobster for anniversary lunch while staying in Holy Island. It was perfect. The food and service were outstanding. I definitely recommend and will return.

Fantastic choice on the menu and every dish we had was excellent. Couple this with a warm welcome and friendly service and you get a thoroughly enjoyable evening meal.

Super friendly service and excellent food. The local fish offerings are outstanding and the menu has something for every taste. So relaxed and you feel at ease while enjoying food that would easily be found in more formal settings. Amazing place 👌

Disappointed, quite expensive, starter £12 for a cheese & leek tart, no side salad just balsamic drizzle! Enjoyed fish & chips at the time but both of us struggling to digest them! Service good.

A fantastic meal with high quality food. Was not disappointed with any of our three courses. Service was great and friendly too. We ordered the Fisherman's platter for our little boy, which he demolished other than the salad which seemed a very grown up salad with a mustard dressing on - simplifying that would be our only suggestion for improvement!

Just fabulous! Booked as treat for husband's 60th birthday with relatives who have not visited before. We had mixed specials and main menu and they were all sublime - every dish really was perfect, accompanied with fresh veg and crispy salad. We declined dessert as were too full but all had coffee - brilliant coffee ☕️ Thank you for an awesome evening 😋

Amazing! The fish was cooked to perfection. Specials were inventive and unique. Oysters were fresh and delicious! Really lovely staff. Nice ambience. Wish it was closer so we could go again!

The mussels were excellent but the haddock chowder not so good...bereft of haddock...just one tiny piece at the bottom of the bowl...the chowder had no flavour and we didnt get the vegetables on the top? We ordered lobster which was a mistake...the lobsters were so small...as lobster catchers ourselves we were very disappointed...one tiny tail and a claw...having said that on looking around at other diners' plates the fish dishes looked great...we just ordered the wrong dish...servers excellent...appreciated the non-dog area as unsanitary when dining to have dogs around...tables along the bench far too close together and uncomfortable. Coffee good. We would recommend your restaurant but not the lobster or chowder.

Unfortunately after being recommended by the Hairy Bikers we were quite disappointed. The food was nice but unfortunately too oily for our pallets and thus with the Michelin price tag is not value for money. The service staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The menu is wide, and the quality is superb. Over many years we have eaten here and never been disappointed. Front of house are lovely. Not to be forgotten , the dishes served are lovely!

We had the sharing platter - so much to eat and a good selection of both hot and cold seafood. My husband couldn’t resist the apple and berry crumble with both custard and ice cream!!! What a treat, but was just a little disappointed that the crumble wasn’t an oat crumble but more a biscuit crumble instead. Definitely recommend this place and we’ll be back next time we’re in the area. Thank you.

Been here several times and is alway a favourite place to call into for lunch when up in Bamburgh. The food was excellent as usual, with tender crispy squid for me and excellently cooked scallops and boudin noir for the hubby to start. We both opted for the pan fried halibut which was divine. Wished I’d had room for the apple and blackberry crumble. The service as usual was excellent. If you want excellent seafood in a relaxed informal atmosphere this is the place, make sure you book though to avoid disappointment

Great service but the food was excellent. Ambience and staff etc were great but the langoustines and plaice were on another level. Fabulous.
