The scallops and black pudding was amazing! Chocolate peanut butter cheesecake to die for! Steak, lamp rump, side veg All beautiful!

My fish main course was very tasty. However my wife had a sirloin steak which was unfortunately very tough and not enjoyable

We were beautifully looked after by the staff. We chose the sharing platter and when it arrived it more than met our expectations! In fact it almost overwhelmed us !! It was all delicious. It was our first visit and the restaurant is delightful my only very slight issue was it was a bit noisy. Neither the gentleman I was with or myself have any hearing issues but if I had been with my father we would have struggled. That being said there was a table of 8 ladies having a wonderful afternoon and that will have contributed to the decibel levels!!! My companion had a wonderful afternoon and enjoyed everything so much it was just a little thing. I will definitely return. Thank you

Really delicious food (especially the chowder and the hake with chorizo jam) and lovely, friendly staff. It is quite pricey, but nice for a special occasion!

Fabulous. Best seafood for ages. Lovely uncomplicated setting Great service, helpful but unobtrusive staff And particularly good to find a genuinely dog friendly restaurant. Highly recommended but do book to ensure you can get a table!

This was the third time I’ve been to the Potted Lobster and it has been excellent every time. Warm welcome, friendly and efficient service and a great choice of freshly prepared dishes. The scallops with boudin noir were cooked to perfection. The crab crusted hake with pommes dauphinoise and vegetables was also very tasty and well presented. Overall happy again and will definitely be back!

If you love fish then this is the place! Great choice and lovely options at each course, accompanying good wine list too. Service friendly and efficient. Dog friendly in the bar!

We had a very happy birthday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were very friendly and super supportive of our puppies first restaurant experience. The food was delicious and we all struggled to decide what to order, as everything on the menu looked yummy. Outstanding for us has to be a rare thing, so don't take our grading as a negative. Our only slightly negative comment was the bill. It's definitely a treat and a bit on the expensive side. We will definitely be back.

We had a great meal, fantastic menu and lovely staff. Only one negative was I had the scallops and I only got 3 and they were small so didn’t feel value for the £16

Amazing food - daily specials available as well as standard menu. The best oysters and mussels I’ve had for years! I’d travel the length of the country to eat here. Staff were friendly and welcoming - attentive but not intrusive. Overall / a wonderful meal and experience!

We have seen a lot of good reviews for this restaurant and read all the hype. Sadly we found it distinctly average. Somewhat overpriced for what it delivered, we won’t be back.

We were really looking forward to this as the last night of our mini break. It did not disappoint! Delicious well prepared quality food in a lovely relaxed environment. Have to mention how fantastic our server Jackie was, so lovely knowledgeable and professional and she made us feel really special.

We were so disappointed this restaurant does not live up to all the hype. The service was fine but the food was bland the battered fish was too greasy and had no flavour left most of it. Didn't risk dessert. Very expensive for what it was.

Condensation on windows inside, very warm we had to ask to open the window and other customers dining were grateful. No ambience, food was mediocre not what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Service was fantastic and couldn’t fault the staff, they were very attentive and lovely. But chips were hard, butter so cold you couldn’t spread, the squid was tough, we went for our anniversary and just came away feeling very underwhelmed. Have dined at the one in Abersoch and it’s been fantastic every time it’s a shame about this one
