No fault of the restaurant, but we had a fairly large and VERY loud group next to us that made it a bit difficult to talk at times-but that did not deter us from having a stellar time. The three of us are world sophisticated world traveling "foodies" and were blown away by the quality of the food. The Post Room has a gifted chef-certainly as good as any-starred in the City!!! We are anxious to go back and try other choices on the menu-but trust me, the decision will be agonizing!

Service and ambience are great. Venue is beautiful. But the prices are way to high for what you get.

We ate here twice during our stay lunch then dinner. Servers were very nice as was the food, but there seemed to be some disconnect with the kitchen. Where some items didn’t come out with other food and sauces or dips were missing. We also ordered wine and knew by taste it was not what we ordered, when I asked about it I was told they were out of the wine I ordered. I pointed out we should have been told this and allowed to choose our own replacement. There were apologies and the wine was then available at dinner time. Overall food and drinks were good but don’t think I would go again. Oh also be-aware 20% gratuities are already included on your tab. Which I also didn’t realize at lunch so we ended up tipping more than twice.

We had high tea on a rainy, extremely cold Saturday afternoon. The food was ok, typical of the teas offered at most nice city hotels. The little sandwiches were not particularly flavorful or imaginative except for the fresh and tangy “lobster roll” on mini pieces of brioche. The assortment of teas was excellent and the mini scones were quite light and flaky. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much variety of dessert treats (no chocolate!) but the little cheese cake, bread pudding and the macaroon were all good. Service was gracious, Prosecco poured generously, except that we asked twice for the gas fireplace to be turned on..it was so chilly…to no avail. There was a pianist/singer who played with an accompaniment track: too loud, not the right vibe. And sadly, the smell of cigarette smoke in the hotel lobby and up the stairs into the room really detracted from the experience.

The staff there are incredible! It’s beautiful. Piano was lovely. Food was just ok. But had a lovely time!

Great decor, great food and great service. Piano music was a nice touch. Great for date night.

I had the tiniest half chicken with no side.A salad right out of spring mix bag. Not worth the price!
