Positive 1st: Warm greeting by front desk. Seated promptly (had 9 a.m. reservations). Fried green tomatoes were delicious. Cons: Waitress did not check in on us. She had to be summons whenever we needed something, so we got the vibe we were a bother. I ordered bbq brisket topped with scrambled eggs. The eggs were ice cold. The brisket was bland. I summons the Waitress, yet again. She had not checked in on us to see how our meal was. She took my food back. While I was waiting for my food I ate off of my husband's plate. Approx 15 minutes later my food arrived. At this point I had lost my appetite and was so ready to go. Summons for the bill and off we were! An astounding $80 down the drain. Oh!!!! I almost forgot! Another Waitress took a dog's water bowl and emptied it in the bar sink and placed the bowl on the bar counter! Ewwww!

Although the service was great and we were seated quickly, we had to wait an extremely long time for our food due to a bigger party ahead of us when food arrives. It was extremely flavorful no seasoning.

We loved The Porch. Food was delicious. Portions were generous. Loved the ambiance. Our server was delightful. Definitely will go again!!

I do not recommend this restaurant food was not good at all Our waiter was ok but he did not take the food back that I advised was not acceptable instead took 25% off of item that was not touched

We went on a Friday night before an event at Golden One. We got there at 5:15 and it wasn't busy. There was one large party that walked in after us. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and almost an hour for our food. When it arrived it was cold. The food tasted good, and would have been great if warm. We had to rush to eat our food so we wouldn't miss our show. It looked like they prioritized the food to the party even though we were seated first. I was disappointed with the overall experience.

Food was overall very good, it was Easter, so we expected it to be a busier than usual day. Took a while for us to receive water and our coffee , and over 30 minutes to receive our food but once we received it, it was overall pretty tasty. Ordered the shrimp and grits and grits were really creamy, but I did find it to be a little overdone with butter and seasonings. Would probably order something else if I return. My husband got pancakes, scrambled eggs, and potatoes, we weren’t really impressed with the smashed potato , doesn’t really present well, perhaps a bigger, smashed potato would present a little bit better on a plate, otherwise, regular country potatoes were what we were hoping for. Overall, we were pretty satisfied, and will probably come back another day when it’s less busy because sometimes we know that when it’s really busy the food quality can suffer as a result. Great atmosphere, and loved the southern charm.

Upon arrival, hostess could not find reservation. I showed her my confirmed email. We were seated near bar at high table. Very loud. Was told would not be served until 50 min to an hour. We decided to leave.

Mediocre at best. Food was extremely dry and over priced. (Cornbread) I could not cut into the biscuit I had, My husband's meatloaf had a strong overpowering seasoning taste. Outside furniture was old, tattered and looked dirty. Service was ok. We left with no water in our cups. For 100 bucks, there's literally so much better elsewhere.

The Porch service was slow although very nice servers. The food wasn’t good. Between our table we all try something different but they weren’t good. Overall, I wouldn’t try them again unfortunately.

This was our 3red visit. The food was as delicious as the first two visits. My husband didn’t care for the meatloaf, but it just wasn’t what he expected. He said it wouldn’t keep him from returning, though! The service was exceptional. It was a Sunday afternoon, at full capacity, and the noise level was very high. We prefer eating out on the patio when the weather is nice.

We were able to get a last minute reservation for Sunday brunch. Biscuit & eggs was delicious, but I regret not ordering the Brisket & Biscuit. If I’m in Sacramento needing breakfast again, I’ll make sure to stop by! We sat on the front porch, but the heaters weren’t on so it was mildly chilly.

I had a few friends recommended this restaurant. Unfortunately, my daughter and I were not too impressed. I had the shrimp and grits. The grits were delicious, but the BBQsauce that was poured all over it was not good!! It tasted like cheap bottled sauce. It ruined the dish. The shrimp were small and very underwhelming. My daughter ordered the brisket meatloaf. It was overly seasoned to the point it was hard to eat. The biscuit and gravy was ok. It was pretty hard in my opinion. We shared a banana pudding for desert and it was good. We had to ask the waiter for refills on our drinks even tho he had passed by multiple times and didn't just do it on his own. It was fine, but I doubt we would go back.

The ambiance is great. The employees a super friendly, it was my friends birthday and gave us personalized menus! The food tasted wonderful! I’ll definitely go back!

Service was chaotic and slow (and the restaurant was very slow); food (fried chicken and shrimp and grits) was okay. Disappointing as I was looking forward to returning there after a long absence.

I went Sunday afternoon with my coworkers. We all enjoyed our food. However, the service could’ve been better. Our server was very friendly, but wasn’t around very much. She would go long periods of time without checking on us. It made it very hard to order more drinks or asked for sauce or sugar. I didn’t even see her walking around most of the time. This made our experience not as great as we had hoped.

The hostess was wonderful. Although making reservations for inside, she allowed porch seating. The waitress was not attentive. Drinks were delayed. Food was delayed and cold. Hostess came out and brought water and drinks. Ordered food and it came an hr later, cold. It was just too much with having to hunt the waitress down for common requests like water or condiments. First and last time experience.

A special holiday themed brunch around Mardis Gras, with an energetic ensemble playing Big Easy music and special New Orleans entrees on the menu. Somewhat raucous but delightful experience.

Great spot, fantastic food. Service was great. Super loud on a Saturday morning, especially once the band starts playing Dixieland. Still worth it.

I love this place but a Saturday 1130am brunch, the inside is extremely loud. Thursday evening dinner was pleasantly quiet. The staff is attentive and appetizers are phenomenal. Definitely a must.

A friendly host seated us quickly and the server was very nice in getting our order in place. The food came out in a very good place and time. Food was incredibly tasty with nice portions that does not leave you hungry. It is great they have many vegan options.

We decided to try out The Porch for a late lunch. Great ambiance and no wait. Our server, Sky, was simply amazing. Very helpful and friendly with a great attitude that made us right away welcome. Excellent Mimosas in different varieties. We started out with Beignets that were out of this world. Wonderful! Then we had a Po Boy Sandwich and Chicken and Waffles - both were amazing in taste and the portion was huge. Overall, one of the best places to eat in Sacramento. We will definitely be back soon.
