We only recently started going to the Piper as it's under new management. The new landlords are lovely. They made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere is great. The food was excellent value for money and plenty of it! We will now be going on a regular basis. I know it had a bad name in the past but I would encourage anyone to give it another try. It's amazing how new management can make such a difference in the space of 3 weeks!

Lovely place to eat. Don't take any notice of some of the negative comments and reviews. We found the staff and the food excellent. Yes, there are always things that could be improved in any pub/restaurant, but on the whole The Piper is a lovely place. Excellent value for money. Food was amazing. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area. 10/10

Great food & value for money, The only negative was the toilets being freezing cold.

It was very quiet when we visited for lunch but could tell it was a popular pub. Service was great and food well made and good value. Extra bonus was charging our electric car whilst we ate!

No heating on in pub and very cold. Delay to food order. Quality and quantity of vehetables on roast dinner was poor

Had Christmas Dinner here just after mid-day (1pm|) and it was a great place to enjoy a hassle free Christmas Dinner, great welcome, great food, great service, great atmosphere. It was great 'Thank You piper', and if they are doing it again for 2024 then I will be booking a table for the family again (kids menu great to). The only downside is the OpenTable website which keeps sending message after messages regarding other restaurants and venues to book (you've had your booking fee, now back off OpenTable and let people be!). So 5 Stars to Piper and 2 Stars for the App that we had to use to book Christmas dinner

Food was tasty but it was pretty cold, wait for food was a while, pudding was very nice but again considering it came really quickly it was cold. Price was ok

Sunday lunch food was good but spoilt by a one hour wait. The pub is geared up for those watching football and not as a pub restaurant. Staff were polite and apologized for the delay. Price was reasonable.
