A Toronto staple, The Pilot was established in Yorkville in 1944. We have a ground floor bar and dining areas, a private event space on our second floor and a large rooftop patio.

We're open our main floor and rooftop patio starting at 11am, 7 days a week.

The Pilot takes reservations online & over the phone. We also leave space for walk-in guests.

Went for an early Mother’s Day brunch on a Saturday. The food was good but the service was not. After a long wait for our food, of the 6 of us, 2 orders were wrong. It then took another 20 minutes for them to bring a scrambled eggs. Not much of an apology but they did remove that main from the bill. Good food but no ambience and the servers don’t seem to care much and are definitely far from friendly.

Lovely roof top brunch. Leisurely paced. Excellent half price prosecco was a gift. There were three of us, three different brunch specials and we were each delighted with our meal. Service was friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Fun little spot - love the open air heated rooftop . The 4 steep flights of stairs are torture but once you’re there it’s good! Food was ok - they only serve the brunch menu on the weekends 11-230. shakshuka was watery with way too many peppers and needed seasoning, the add on sausages were just weird - It should have been chorizo. The Cobb salad was nice and the eggs benny was ok. For yorkville it’s a dive bar which is what we wanted - just wish the food was a bit better

Beers were good. They had a good selection. Just tried 2 apps - Cauliflower bites & chicken wings. Asked for the hottest version of wings and it lived up to my expectations. Cauliflower bites were a bit sweet. Service was amazing.

There was a mouse as soon as we sat down, so didn’t even get to eat. The hostess/servers were also not the friendliest.

The rooftop is charming and must be really fun in the summer. We went in winter, and while not cold exactly, there were spots that were drafty / chilly. The service was attentive for the most part. Oddly, we were sat beneath a noisy fan and told it was a quiet spot. The food was tasty-the poached eggs in my Bennie were a bit over cooked-potato hash browns were very tasty, and the drinks were well executed. All in all a good experience.
