Le restaurant THE PENTHOUSE de l'hôtel The Huntley vous accueille dans un cadre ultra-lounge à couper le souffle, avec des cabanes de plage, des espaces à ciel ouvert, des comptoirs argentés et des bougies nues. The overall view of the ocean and the fact that they wrote my grandma a handwritten birthday card made the experience so nice but the service wasn’t so good because apparently if you book a reservation at 2:30 for lunch the chefs leave at 2:45 so you can only order off the happy hour menu until it’s dinner time. All the food portions were tiny not enough to be full at all. The only thing that was good was the drinks. The view made the difference tbh. Overall 6.5-10. Not bad but not amazing. And I’m actually in the service industry so I’m actually extremely understanding but I just wish the waiter let us know about the all the cooks leaving by a certain time or else we would have ordered the food first then our drinks.

The ambience was great, I love the curtains and the view. The service was nice. The food was not good at all. I had the salmon and I have had better at Applebees, my husband got their steak and it was gross, my son got the linguine and it was not good one bit. My 8 year old daughter loved the pizza. I will not come here again.

We decided to visit California for our baby girl’s first birthday. A friend suggested The Penthouse to us. Going out to eat as a new parent can be a little scary, but the restaurant staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The restaurant location and decor was absolutely beautiful. The views are incredible. We really enjoyed our food as well. This was a fun experience. We will definitely be back.

The area where we were seated was fairly crowded with tables, so not much ambiance and fairly noisy. That being said, the food and service were both excellent. Only other issue was that the restaurant didn’t have our reservation which was booked through Open Table. Don’t know whose issue this was, but recommend calling to confirm.

They accommodated our special request for a table near the windows where we could see the view, the drinks and food were delicious, and they were able to accommodate a vegan dietary restriction. Service was friendly, attentive, and fast. Would absolutely dine here again.

My husband and I booked the Malibu Cabana Experience for our anniversary, and boy was it worth it! Everything from start to finish was sublime. The service was top-notch, and the wait staff went out of their way to make everything super special for our anniversary. The food was spectacular! The oysters were fresh and flavorful. The persimmon and pear dish was delicate and delicious. The lobster agnolotti was so buttery and wonderful, and the rib eye was divine. The desserts (strawberry cheesecake, and the passionfruit crème brulee) were both heavenly. This is a perfect place for a special occasion and the cabanas guarantee an intimate ocean view. A very special experience, indeed!
