The busy and light-filled room gives the air of a conservatory, but mediocre food undercuts the atmosphere. A recent bunch was less than satisfying, from tough friend chicken pieces topping waffles to a lukewarm skillet of hash. Though service was prompt, nothing felt special about the meal, which with the addition of one cup of coffee and a glass of juice totaled $72. Not at all a good value.

It is beautiful. Food was great. Overpriced though. Our waiter was fantastic. Drinks were delicious. The restaurant was gorgeous. I will be returning.

The food and service were both excellent, as was the ambiance. Some of the dishes were a bit pricey, though delicious. The staff was very accommodating as we had six for drinks then only four for dinner. The candle for my husband’s birthday was a nice touch, though most restaurants provide a birthday dessert gratis.

We were so excited to come to DC and experience brunch at the Pembroke. Unfortunately, we were given a table right next to the entrance and wait staff station which was dark and noisy. It took away from our enjoyment. We made this reservation weeks in advance so it was unfortunate. The food was tasty with large portions. Our waiter was awesome ( Jee).
