The Peacock, Austin Proper’s ground floor Mediterranean restaurant and lobby bar serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menus are inspired by the colorful culinary styles of Israeli and Turkish fare and include spit-roasted meats and vegetables grilled over the restaurant's wood-burning oven, flavorful tagines and hearty mezze platters and dips ideal for sharing. The sprawling bar provides a full dining experience and offer a condensed food menu throughout the lobby and outdoor lounge. Overlooking views of Shoal Creek can be taken in from the Peacock’s patio space and the private dining room balcony.

The food was extraordinary, as usual. The dumplings are sublime. It was the perfect anniversary experience. The service was first-rate, including our amazing waiter John! We will be back!

Delicious Mediterranean food, one of the best in Austin that I have had. We were on a girls trip in Austin and this totally made our experience. I want to go back soon.

One of my favorite places to eat in Austin right now. The restaurant has a great vibe/decor, great service and staff and good food. I have been here 4 times to date and will keep coming! Even better food than Aba. I got the hummus, the pita is AMAZING, and a couple skewers.

We love this restaurant. The brunch drinks and appetizers are outstanding. Our favorite appetizer is the dumplings. We all had different kebabs for entrees, which as usual were delicious. The service we got from Aaron was superb. He was very helpful with suggestions and was always checking on us. We are definitely invited to keep coming back.

The staff took care of not only providing a delicious dining experience but also exceptional care with every detail of my birthday dinner. Beautiful wine selection also. We had a fun evening and will be back soon.

We went to Peacock with high expectations and the intention to celebrate a birthday. Service was not at all bad. It was good, not over the top, and we got what we needed. Food was decent. Enjoyable setting was by far the highlight. I would have been comfortable paying about 25% less across the board for what we received. It was overall only slightly above average for the whole experience. I would go back for drinks and small bites if I was in the area. Beautiful food presentation and setting.

Our server was so kind and helpful with my dietary restrictions. The design, of course, was on point. Having had brunch and dinner service here, I like the brunch menu and experience better.

My visit to peacock on an unexpectiadly busy Tuesday night after the CMT awards was not up too its usual parr .….. the meats (chicken kabab and shrimp kabobs ) were bland and not soft … but rather chewy .. however baklava with ice cream was awesome for dessert ! The lamb meatballs were as good as always . server Rebecca and bar tender Maxx were above average And inspite of an off night with the food will make me want to return quickly .

First of all we love ❤️ this hotel. As an ex Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons employee… anything that went wrong was fixed and ambiance and food, drinks at Goldie’s and the servers there combined w the management throughout the hotel was superb! The chef or someone in kitchen unfortunately out two iron handled skewers of salmon ON fire and waiter had no knowledge of, not his fault (Taylor?) yet warned of hot plate.. one had to pull off salmon by grabbing skewer handles and it fried my fingers!!! After some first aid, a couple more drinks and the best homemade ice cream and attitude from the manger, Vanessa, and Lucy… it was time to end a long day that started with security issues of housekeeping walking into our room while in bed having sex and a do not disturb sign up, lastly, after also being locked out of our room prematurely w a late check out to get packed and ready, housekeeping walked in again w me naked in living room suite again and then not having our bellman or car valeted up front to leave on time for airport (did not know where car was till I saw it) and then giving us someone else’s keys we had to return back to hotel… but hey… after the dinner mess… they took care of us for the night and manger the next am made sure we were taken care of at the pool w some sunshine the next day to have a better taste in our mouth our last day of a 6 night visit. Big Bon Voy Customers so… much appreciated. Special mention till goes to Chloe from the minute we arrived w excellent service and worked to resolve all for us. Natasha made it all right in the end as well and Sean the valet guy along with a few other valet men. I plan to return possibly for Thanksgiving to visit friends again and stay.

Very disappointed in pear endive salad. A very expensive tasteless and bitter concoction made with unripe pears. Awful and inedible. They left it on the bill. $30 for a glass of chardonnay (6oz) is ridiculous. Worst was paying $28 for 90 mins parking after validation (3.lousy dollars). Never again.

Excellent as always!!!!! The octopus was perfectly prepared. I just had the simple green salad with shrimp and a side of broccolini and everything was delicious! This place never disappoints!

Hummus and Pita was outstanding. Our 3 skewers were overdone thus not the juicy tasty food we had on previous visits. We had 1 of each and all were overdone. Sauces were good. Last visit was last fall.

Chicken was hard as stone and the server was too busy to ask or fill water. Once I told the server about our experience, they were apologetic and offered a small discount. But for the price we paid, it was not a good experience at all.

The food was delish we went for brunch and I got the omelet with cauliflower & we shared the hummus. The drinks were also great I got an espresso tini with tequila they use real espresso. Only complaint is they had a door open and it was super windy but half way through they closed it which was great!

We had a wonderful experience at Peacock. Our server was excellent. We especially loved the octopus, the lamb and the pistachio ice cream with the DELICIOUS cherries on top. Perfect for a special occasion place.

The lunch menu included a good variety of Mediterranean cuisine. We enjoyed the salmon kebab and the prawns & chorizo dish. Both were flavorful and well-prepared. Portions were appropriately sized for a filling lunch and the cocktails/mocktails were excellent.

We had an incredible meal here. Recommendations: dumplings, meatballs and lamb chops! If you are a wine connoisseur, great wine list and sommelier there to guide you! Service was fine (nothing too exceptional) But I do recommend this restaurant! I will be going back!
