The food was overpriced and very average. They charged extra for additions, which were over priced and incorrectly stated on their menu. The wine pours were very small, and again, over priced.

I've frequent Murphy Ave in Sunnyvale quite a bit, and so I wanted to try something different. However, my party and I weren't impressed. In my opinion for the type of food you get, I'd rather go back to DishDash.

Food is typically pretty good here, but for a change I had the Shepherds Pie and I think they must microwave the meat and then add the potato and oven bake because it was impossible to eat any of the meat layer without burning my mouth for over 40 minutes! My family all finished their meals completely before mine was even remotely edible. Ended up bringing it home…

We ate outdoors so the noise level was of course dependent on the surroundings. I found it to be a nice vibrant vibe but not loud so table conversation was easy to have. The food was quite good and in generous portions - we took some home to enjoy at another time.

We were promptly seated. The server was nice and friendly and we loved the food. All in all it was a great experience! I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

We grabbed a quick but nice meal before a comedy show. Over all, a B-. The service was just not good Not real attention to customers, no check back to see if food was hot, etc., just basically ignored once food was served. Meh. However, the food itself was pretty delicious! Arrived hot, and portions were good. With all the restaurants available in the area though, nothing really made this stand out that will make us repeat customers.

Went with a work group of 6 and had a great time. Food was fantastic - Tika Masala, Fish N Chips were the standouts including the mashed peas! Drinks were on the strong side and service was fantastic!

I arrived an hour early for my reservation, having driven 75 miles to meet my friends. The host was extremely accommodating and sat me at our table. Upon arriving, our waiter came over to take our drink order. My guests needed to select options that were low in salt and our waiter made several selections that met their criteria. Overall, the food presentation and taste were excellent and I would return to The Oxford again.

I had the burger, and my wife had the fish and chips. Both were excellent. Well made, not greasy, but juicy and perfect. Will go back.

Great food, and solid service, but the place was fairly loud - a group of 6 of us could barely hear each other. Something to consider if you're going there with a group.

Fantastic venue in downtown Sunnyvale! Unique twist on British pub food including fish and chips, shepherds pie, chicken tikka, chicken pot pie, falafel, and mushroom ravioli. Drinks are also unique and well made.

Very nice English restaurant. Very British ambience. Well executed shepherd's pie. Fairly well executed Pimm's cups. Supply chain issues on British beers but hardly their fault. Dessert menu was surprisingly limited.

Limited menu. My dish was a savory mushroom ravioli which was not served hot. The kitchen was about to close so that could explain it. On the plus side, our server was very attentive. As it was Valentine's Eve, the staff was busy moving tables around and it was quite noisy. The sound system was playing old school hip hop on repeat. Love the genre but the same songs were playing over and over. Odd pairing; old school hip-hop at an English pub. Overall not a place I would return to as there are other options on Murphy avenue.

Love this place, but last night there was only one server looking after the dining room (he was really good!) but it took a long time to get our initial order in. There were two people checking people into tables, and two behind the bar, but only one taking orders. Seemed a little odd frankly… I usually order the chicken tikka masala, but last night the chicken was really overcooked and tough. Not as good as usual. We’ll be back, but it wasn’t as good as usual and hopefully it’s just a glitch!

We came here after the 49er game on Christmas Eve and had an amazing meal. We had the burger, tri-tip sandwich, and fish and chips which were all phenomenal.

Ummm...what was that? When we came here before Covid, we were blown away by their fantastic drinks and service. They had unique things on their menu and were really good. Well, just came for a birthday and was very disappointed. Service was friendly, but slow. Menu was faded on the edges you could barley read the overpriced drinks. They were out of a few things. Drinks were ok, but expensive for ok. Fine. All bearable until our charcuterie board came. Let's unpack this. SALTINES. The crackers were literally SALTINES! They ruined the whole board. No cheese anywhere, one thick slice of salami quartered, and "olives". Literally bland olives out of a can. I was so disappointed. I would have sent it back, but the kitchen was closed and I needed some food with my beer to drive safely. The prosciutto was decent and actually was a good amount of it (though not enough saltines to eat with). Paid, and won't be back. So sad. Not sure if ownership changed but the standard went down and the prices went up. Can't speak to the rest of the food menu. It looked good but we weren't coming for dinner and didn't try anything else.
