We all really enjoyed our meals. There were 4 of us and we all had roasts 3 for the chicken and one for lamb. One of us did think she had a potato which was a little hard, but everyone else said everything was really nice. I had the roasts and mine were all very nice and well cooked. They ran out of apple crumble but they apologised as they remembered from last November that it was my favourite. I was pleased that they remembered me. I had sticky toffee pudding instead with custard which was lovely. There was another in the group who had sticky toffee pudding and said she enjoyed it. The other two in the party had the belgian waffles, again they were nicely served and presented. Overall all 4 of us enjoyed our meal and said we would go back again.

Lovely bistro, good choice of dishes, food was lovely and service was very good.We had a nice bottle of wine, prices represent excellent value for money. Would definitely go again

Nice little restaurant. We both had the Sunday roasts (1 lamb/1 chicken). Meat was succulent and tasty, veg, pots, Yorkshire puds were cooked just right. Friendly atmosphere and attentive service from start to finish. Great find, we’ll be back!

I would definitely recommend the Olive street to people. I tried Seitain for the first time and it was nice but next time I would select a few starters as they were amazing. A bit noisy but it was a Saturday night and that was towards the end of the night. There was an issue which I will discuss with the owner as it has nothing to do with my amazing meal and evening. I will definitely be back

We loved this place. The Sunday roast was excellent, the service was excellent the price was excellent. We honestly thought it was a great place to go.

Very enjoyable evening. Staff very attentive. Food was plentiful but the lamb shoulder was too much for me to eat. Overall a good experience.

Firstly, we booked our meal at the Olive Tree Bistro on-line and were asked if we were coming for any special occasion. We added that we were booking to celebrate our 5th Wedding anniversary. But when we arrived there was no mention of it at all. Not a problem but why ask in the first place? My wife had her hopes built up to expect some congratulation mentioned and was disappointed when there was none. Secondly, the food we ordered was rump steak, cooked medium and seared duck breast, cooked pink. Both were overdone and were not as we had experienced the last time we had visited the Olive Tree Bistro about a year ago, when the food was outstanding. This was more like nice 'pub grub' and not at all the experience we had expected.

As before, we enjoyed tasty food at reasonable prices with really friendly service. I particularly liked the ice cream selection - the blackcurrant and liquorice flavour is lovely!

This is the second time I have eaten here and I will definitely be back! My husband and I went for a pre theater meal before going to the Floral to see a show. Food was so lovely, staff really nice; all in all a lovely little bistro place that we will be frequenting more.

After trying to spend time with old colleagues as we were drinking the water staff at 9:10pm informed us that they would be closing at 9:30pm. Poor end to a lovely night with friends.

Visited the Olive Tree Bistro on Sunday night with my girlfriend and was not disappointed in any way. Everything from booking the venue, the warm and friendly greeting on arrival, the fantastic freshly prepared food, the personal service from the staff, the value for money, everything was first class. We ordered the Sunday chicken roast and the homemade scouse and both were cooked perfectly and tasted absolutely delicious. For dessert we chose Bakewell tart and apple crumble and again, both were presented really well and tasted superb, with piping hot custard (as it should be!). The venue is perfect for couples or smallish groups (6-8 perhaps) and offers a very personal and romantic setting. There is also adequate parking very close to the bistro. Having been for the first time on Sunday, I can say with some certainty that we will be visiting it again soon!

We took a friend here for a birthday treat before going to the Floral hall theatre which is just a few minutes walk away. We had the pre-theatre menu which was good value at £15.99 for two courses. Staff were friendly and efficient, food was good and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere. We would definitely go there again.

This is the fourth time I have eaten at the Olive Tree ( usually pre theatre dinner). A fairly extensive menu with good quality food. My friend and I both opted for the mixed berry cheesecake.....in a word .....DIVINE!!

Disappointed is probably our opinion. The mackerl pate was delicious, but two small pieces of dry bread, no butter and poor garnish let it down drastically. Pizza was very nice. Would say that hygiene was not high on the agenda. Plates not really clean. Service was ok, bit slow. Liked the music.
