First time here and it won't be the last. Had the pie and it was the best one I've ever had. Really enjoyed our visit and already telling friends.

This meal was booked without issue on line. We had a lovely meal in an unhurried environment. There is lots of choice on the menu and there is even a gluten free option. There is nothing to complain about, the service and welcome were at the right level. Thank you to all involved.

We had a very bad experience with the very rude manager when ordering our food he was aggressive towards us saying we should of ordered earlier as even though we had booked a table the kitchen was closed he reluctantly said we could have the food we had ordered and just paid for at the bar and then went on a rant about his staff needing a break they advertise lunch as being on all afternoon and felt in pre booking a table we would be absolutely fine me and my friends were shocked at the way we were spoken to and I would never eat here again.

Went there with a friend after reading good reviews nothing could be further from the truth. They where short staffed only 2 working front of house the portions where small and definitely overpriced not a chance I would return.

We have eaten at the BoatHouse a few times and really enjoyed the food and the lovely service. I think we were just unfortunate to go on a sunny bank holiday. The food was below their usual standard and the wait time was exceptionally long. They did apologise but we felt that as a group booking we should have been prioritised over walk-ins who were sat outside.

Lovely spot by the Canal, just a short distance from the East Lancs road. Good selection for food - Shepherd's Pie is AMAZING! Good choice of Beers and Ales too. Great for couples and families with kids. Lovely outdoor seating area, whether you are a sun or shade lover.

The first visit we had to wait for about half an hour for the meal to arrive, but it was hot and nicely prepared,and was very tasty, our second visit was less of a wait only a few minutes but the service was excellent and again very tasty.

First time visiting here, lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly and happy, nothing was a problem for them. Food came out hot and was delicious. We will be back very soon.

Lovely evening at the Old Boat House. The food was fantastic. Most of us had the 2 for £16 menu, and were very impressed with the quantity and quality of the food.
