Have dined in the Oar House for the past 30 years. The impeccable service, food and ambience has been consistently excellent changed with the various managers and staff. Kristin was our server last night. She was very professional and accommodating on spite of the place was packed. And Chris who has also bartended the past 30 years was on top of her game as usual

First time back to Oar House in several years and it was great. The service and food were great. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning soon.

I loved it… It was so wonderful to be able to sit and visit with beloved family as we gather to watch the eclipse. Really awesome experience!

Had the carpaccio and the linguini a la vongole. The flavor on both was incredible and the pasta was perfectly “al dente”. My only criticism, and this is personal, there was too much lettuce/arugula in the carpaccio. Did I mention the delicious bread?

Had a wonderful dinner at The Oar House. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. The chef was talented. The cost was $100 cheaper than Perry’s and steak was just as good.

We wanted to try Oar House for a while. I imagine this is a local favorite in Rockwall and maybe the surrounding area. The food was yummy. That said, we did not order anything sophisticated. I had two minor hesitations for recommending Oar House. First, the menu was pricy, for the experience. Again, the food was yummy and portions were large. Second, the restaurant smelled a little musty mainly inside the entrance. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, and the service was friendly and fast. The noise level is low, so conversations are enjoyable.

All of the staff at the Oar House are exceptional. The service is on point, friendly and very professional. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I highly recommend giving them a try . You will not be disappointed.

Service was exemplary! Initially very quiet when opened but became a bit noisier as more customers arrived. Food was good with one concern. My wife had a shrimp spaghetti dinner. The shrimp still had the tails on that were difficult to remove. She should have enjoyed it better if the tails had been removed before preparation. My similar entree but with scallops was excellent!

We love the Oar House. It’s one of our go-to restaurants in Rockwall for special occasions. The crab claws are always amazing, and the same can be said for everything we order. Highly recommend the lobster bisque, scallops, and filet with peppercorn sauce. We usually try to go early around 6ish before it gets too busy, because it can be a tight squeeze at times.

I have dined here for several years, and the quality is just not what it used to be. It's ok but it was excellent in the past. We would prefer to go here instead of driving all the way downtown for diner. We went for a close friend's birthday celebration. Overall good but used to be excellent.

Steak was cooked perfectly at medium rare, but had way too much sauce. Lobster bisque was delicious. There was spaghetti on the floor around our table and some sort of food on a few of the chairs.

The filet with peppercorn sauce is to die for. My wife had pasta which was also very good. I've had the pork chop before which is also very nice. Never had a bad meal here and always come for special occasions.
