The menu is satisfactory but the only steak is 1kg and not feasible for most diners. No lamb on the menu. My main problem is that the restaurant claims to be fine dining but the only potato dish/side is shoestring fries. I had a very pleasant duck main course that needed more than takeaway style chips. I also ordered a bottle of Shiraz but it did not appear until after we received our entrees and I had asked for it. It had not been aired so we had to wait a while before drinking it. Diners should be asked if they want the wine decanted or at least open and pour the wine so it can breathe. The staff were pleasant but maybe lacked knowledge.

My wife and I spent the afternoon on Mothers Day in your most relaxing environment and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have had several meals at Oaks Ranch and would rate this restaurant as the best in the Bay area.

Waiters very accommodating. Shutting the door as it was a little chilly before the door shut. Sat in a quiet area with our family group that was lovely. The whole experience was delightful. The view and animals on the way in was just lovely. Can’t wait to go back. Definitely a favourite.

A very good local restaurant. Quality local ingredients and ample quantity. Pity the menu isn't changed much at all otherwise we'd be tempted to go more often. Lovely outdoor seating with stunning views and much quieter than inside. Outdoor heating and shelter provided. But overall highly recommended.

Oaks Ranch is our favourite spot. It’s by far the best restaurant on the south coast. My now Fiancée and I spent our engagement night there and couldn’t have been more happy with our night. The staff are amazing and the food is to die for. It’s always on our to do list to go again and again and again. Who knows, there might be a wedding around the corner to book there as well.

One of our favourite places to come for dinner when we're on the Coast. The food at ARLO never disappoints and is tasty, fulfilling and a little decadent. Even if you're not staying at the Ranch, do yourself a favour and come for lunch or dinner!

What a stunning afternoon lunch! The relaxed vibe, beautiful food and helpful staff made this lunch a really memorable day. As someone who lives in the middle of Sydney with access to great food, The Oaks sets a high standard and is so much better than most - make time to visit.

We love going to the Oaks, food always superb but for people that go often the menu is limited. A nightly special would be great or time for a new menu. Don’t get me wrong, we love this place.

Our dining experiences at The Oaks Ranch are always a memorable experience with standout dishes like the oysters, croquettes, prawn toast, and the exceptional pumpkin agnolotti. The spatchcock with the most incredible pickled cucumber complements the meal perfectly. The decor evokes a classy tranquil Mexican hideaway, decorated with cacti and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Thank you x

Our group of six really enjoyed our dinner at Arlo. We were seated outside on bench seating, which was really nice but not that great for those older folk with bad backs, plus it was a little cool. The menu was well put together, with interesting options and coped well with our two gf diners. My only disappointment was that the ‘Large plates’ have become extremely small (and some could have been hotter). The spatchcock dish was barely half a bird.

Service was impeccable, we had a range of the tapas all were delicious, mains were even better, steak is the go to! Hidden gem was the kids meals kept them quiet and satisfied. Wonderful experience.

I have heard a lot of praise for Oakes Ranch and from my experience it was amply justified. The atmosphere was elegant. The food was simple but stylish and delicious and the service first class. This is something that the south coast has needed for many years.

This is the best hidden gem! I’ve been back three times since finding out it’s exists. It’s just what this side of Batemans bay needed. Perfect food, beautiful location and superb staff.

Oaks Ranch offered excellent food in a delightful setting. We had shared plates with one side dish and had enough food that we weren’t able to try any of the desserts. The service was attentive but not a distraction. They also served a perfect Aperol Spritz.

The kitchen staff are talented, with amazing dishes. The bar pumps out some super fun serious cocktails and the service is incredible. I would recommend this place to anyone!

What a hidden treasure, the best dining experience we’ve had on the coast in recent times. Amazing setting with beautiful views of the country side matched with delicious food and a perfect wine list to match. We totally loved it and will be back there soon to try out the rest of the menu.

We had a sublime early evening meal at Oaks Ranch last night. It was our first time getting up there after friends told us how great it was about a year ago! What a beautiful setting overlooking gorgeous rural pastures to the north and tall stands of spotty gums to the east. Very ‘Byron’ as my husband commented. Elegant decor with warm and genuine service. A decades-old frangipani tree frames the lovely outdoor terrace dining space. Oh yes and about the food! I was totally transported to the countryside in Spain - we enjoyed tasty tapas and sharing plates sourced from the freshest produce; cooked with skill and love. I am sure weddings here are amazing. See you again soon Oaks! Oh and yes the cocktails… 5 stars 🙏
