The Northport Hotel is a 26-room luxury boutique hotel & restaurant in the heart of Northport. The hotel's restaurant & bar are designed to indulge guests in a culinary voyage, offering a selection of steaks, seafood, cocktails, craft beers, & an extensive wine list.

This has become our “special occasion “restaurant as well as the go to place in Northport for a drink or before Engeman theater show. In other words our favorite.

The food and service was exceptional. Every dish we had kept getting better and better. The staff were excellent and attentive to our needs. Will definitely go back

Food was delicious. Brussels sprouts were so good. Had lobster over risotto and skirt steak. Both very flavorful. Enjoyed visit

We were looking forward to trying the new restaurant. Food was fair. Service was fair to good. Overall we were disappointed as it didn’t meet our expectations.

Having heard good things about the restaurant, my son and I decided to treat my husband to a special Father's Day dinner. The place was PACKED - so much so, we could not even get to the bar! (we waited outside for our table to be ready). Once seated (on time, per our reservation), our server was courteous and attentive. My son ordered a Guinness (on tap), my husband and I had wine. Our server returned with our drinks, apologized, and informed my son that "they ran out of Guinness". My son then ordered a Stella Artois (also on tap). Our server returned with a totally different beer, apologized again - profusely - and told him that "they ran out of Stella, too". He mentioned that the bartender said "this (beer) is close to Stella". No worries - in that department. We ordered appetizers - which were delicious - but we waited about 10 min. for our empty plates to be bussed; four separate people passed by our table, looked at the empty dishes and kept going - twice happened to be our server (so much for being attentive). So, once the plates were finally cleared and our entrees arrived, we were very excited - my son ordered the Cowboy Rib Eye, med.-rare, I chose the skirt steak, med. (my husband opted for a seafood dish). I noticed that my meal had an excessive amount of juice (jus) pooling on the plate, as if the steak did not have enough time to rest. OK - not a huge deal. But, as you can from the pictures, the rib eye LOOKS good - until my son attempted to cut unto it. The inside was not med.-rare - in fact, it was RAW. Now that IS a huge deal - so much for being excited...Having had to wait for some time after our first course ended, we decided not to send back my son's order, lest our other dishes get cold waiting for his steak to be re-fired. We nonetheless decided to give dessert a try and were pleasantly surprised. SO, if I were to go back to the restaurant, I would probably only order a drink, apps or dessert - forget about having a "real meal".

We were at probably the worst table in the space, <10 feet behind the entrance and right up next to the bar area where an engagement party was happening, which made a loud space even louder. The food was probably a B+ but for the price it was very much a B. Any other table would have been better than ours, so if we go back I think our experience would be a bit more enjoyable. Just for context we saw friends of ours there as they were leaving and they said “wow we’ve sat here before worst table ever!”

First best impressions, goes to Jennifer, she greeted us as we came in. Above and beyond. My son left birthday presents in the trunk, the Valet had already parked the car. Jennifer reach out to my son, I’ll get the presents for you. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasing. Then the 6 of us went across the street to 8:00, show, The Jersey Boys.
