Our waiter was slow to bring drinks and in fact we had to ask twice for them to be delivered. We ordered eggs and twice they were not cooked correctly, we ordered sunny side up and got scrambled then when he brought the new eggs they were over easy. The e shake we ordered was not made with the ingredients we asked for. Lunch for 4 people was over $100

Very disappointed. “Homemade” tuna melt was highlighted on the menu. Dark chunk tuna (was hoping for white albacore), strong pungent smell and bad tasting. I won’t be returning.

Unfortunately the Diner fell short of our expectations. Three years f us ordered grilled cheese which was basically a cheese sandwich with three slices of bread. The goal of “grilling” the cheese is to melt it. That did not happen and they were a giant disappointment.

We decided on Nicollet Diner for our meal for Dinning Out for Life because of their generous 100% of the bill to the cause! We came and it was busy but a closed booth was opened for us! Which we appreciated as we are seniors. The staff was very pleasant and helpful! Food came in a timely manner and was delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly! We will be back for sure!

A friend and I went to breakfast because Nicollet Diner would be donating 100% of the tab to The Aliveness Project. We both had the All American Breakfast and a side of pancakes. Everything was served promptly and it was delicious.

Good service, attentive server, great coffee and we all enjoyed our food. All in all a very good diner, too bad about the neighborhood though. With so many restaurants out of biz and not much happening at the convention center of late it's great that they are still open and providing a good place for people to eat.

The service was terrible, we were 10min late trying to find parking, because there was a guy who was trying different cars if the cars were open so we decided to park on the street, when we came in there were at least 6 tables open and we try to tell them, they kept repeating that we were 10min late so they could not seat us. What a waist of time, to drive 40 min for being turn down and not even try to help, just repeating you are 10min late. We will never go back.

Food is always good but the service this last time was awful. Their kitchen was overwhelmed. We waited 1 1/2 hours for our food & it was a Thursday night. You would think the server would try to at least be responsive with drinks but we had to ask her for everything. Not prepared for being busy

We went specifically to Nicollet Diner because they were donating 100% of their proceeds that day to Dining Out For Life. I put in reservations for patio for 2 and when we arrived, we were informed that because of being short staffed that day, the patio was not open. Even though both myself and best friend had been vaccinated 2 months ago, with added variants to Covid I am still not comfortable or ready to dine indoors. I have had meals at Uptown Diner and the food was good, even though we didn't stay to eat inside we did contribute a check and cash to The Aids Project. This review was given less stars just because we were disappointed that morning, but realize that if people call in sick and the restaurant is short staffed there is nothing they can do about this situation. Nicollet Diner is a great place that welcomes everyone, I am still a fan!
