The award-winning New London restaurant has been on Chelmsford’s dining and social scene since October 2013 and it still is a relaxed yet sophisticated dining venue. The venue is full of elegance and glamour – now more than ever after an incredible redesign in March 2018.

We have a reputation for seasonally inspired menus with a unique approach to homemade food which makes the New London restaurant a special place to visit.

We pride ourselves on our excellent service with a personal touch. All our staff are proud of, and knowledgeable about, our dishes, wines and cocktails.

We offer only the best locally sourced and seasonal British produce including fresh seafood, locally sourced ingredients and foraged herbs. All our dishes are served in the inimitable style that has helped it garner so many compliments and awards since opening.

Having recently moved to Essex, I was on the lookout for a new favourite to add to my list of restaurants and luckily I found The New London Restaurant in Chelmsford. It has the appearance of a local restaurant but this gem proved it was well worth the trip. Excellent & affordable wine & Champagne list paired with a seasonal but well assembled menu , cooked by a talented & well run team with 5 star plating. Service was warm, professional and just perfect. The restaurant has a beautiful seasonal Plant Based Menu, a set menu and bottomless prosecco menu that is very popular. Been here so many times and it’s always consistent - food is amazing and I love they change their menu (every 6 weeks?), service is always on point, really lovely people. It’s perfect for date night, special occasion or a Sunday lunch! See you guys soon!

Fantastic visit yesterday. It was my dads 70th, he didn't want a fuss but the waitress arranged for some bubbles to be delivered to the table on arrival and helped accommodate us as we were running late. The food was excellent, especially the kedgeree arancini and mille fuile. Just a shame we aren't local or we would be back fairly regularly I'm sure. Visited on a quiet Thursday night so difficult to judge ambience.

Lovely food , nice atmosphere and great service - had the Sunday roast, duck starter was delicious, lovely roast potatoes with the main and great desert. Good value and would highly recommend

The food is absolutely top quality and beautifully presented . I had the crab risotto and the hake . My husband had the marmite onion and the lamb. Wine choices also excellent
