The Monk’s Cellar in Downtown Roseville has brought a little bit of Belgium to the West Coast, with a community-focused brewery and restaurant that serves fine artisanal beer and creative seasonal dishes. I was going to a concert at Goldfields and wanted to find something close by...I had no idea it was right next door lol. It was the first time trying Monk Cellar and I will definitely be back! I had a Monks Burger and let me tell you that was one good burger! I've already told several people about it and I can't wait to go back!

The food was excellent and so was the service. The Duck fat fries are the bomb! So good. Without a doubt, the best fries we had ever had. My friend had the French Dip and I had the Craftsman. Both great with lots of beef or chicken. We sat outside and the noise level was very high. Sometimes we could not hear our conversation. Only negative.

Great local place for a good meal! Burgers and fries are outstanding as is the Brother Reuben sandwich and the Fish and Chips- outstanding Beer selections ! Service and management couldn’t be better.

We had a reservation and seated promptly. Both had burgers prepared correctly and the duck fat fries were crispy, very good. Our waitress was very tentative and had everything we asked for brought right away. It was a little noisy pretty crowded but it was a Saturday night. Will go back want to try the schnitzel sandwich.

Waitress was slow and unorganized. Took 15 minutes to even get a hello. Took a total of 30 minutes for drinks and dinner from start to finish was 1 hour and 30 minutes. Good was not that great once it came. Ordered medium hamburger and it came well done. Place was busy but no excuse for the bad service

It was so good we kept hearing people talk about Monk Cellar so we finally decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint. Definitely will be going back soon!

The Valentines Dinner pris fixe menu was exquisite & beautifully presented & very delicious & the 3 choices for appetizer, entree & dessert offered something for everyone. Monks Cellar Brew Pub & Restaurant brews & features Belgian style & other craft beers. It has a full bar & a great varied menu. A must visit.

For my first time going there, it was fantastic! The food was good, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the 80's soundtrack made our visit enjoyable. I would recommend making reservations though, it was jam packed on a Friday night. Definitely try the Reuben duck fat fries, they're amazing!

We joined Trivia night and had a great time. Our waiter, Jake, was awesome. Food… excellent. Difficult to decide if the chicken or fish tacos were better… both were great.

We got the steak fruits, and it was delicious. We shared it and the chef even cut it for us prior to coming to our table. Our waitress was extremely attentive and friendly and helpful. I wish I could remember her name!

the place is real cozy. this is our first time at the restaurant with my daughter and her 7 month old baby. we are just visiting for the thanksgiving week from san Diego. this is also the very first time i ordered a mac and cheese. i say their fancy mac and cheese with seafood is bery good. i am happy that my first time ordering mac and cheese in a restaurant was a nice and yummy. oh! their craft is excellent. I ordered a stout with 13% alcohol.

Our service was great! The food was pretty good too. The craftsman was excellent. The tri tip salad was terrible. We took the steak the dogs. It was dry and tough. They didn’t eat it either. Burgers were ok. Nice little pub.

Our server was delightful. She engaged in conversation with us while still keeping up with the pace of her work. The food was delicious. We sat outside. The only negative I can make is something the restaurant could not control. There was a person outside of the restaurant smoking marijuana and the smell was so strong. It was almost uncomfortable. Fortunately the staff turn on fans which blew the smell away.

Tried this 'new' (to us) place in old town of Roseville. It's a cute location. The potato leak soup was outstanding as was the steak. Cocktails are delicious. I didn't give a high point for service as I ordered an appetizer and a main dish. Appetizers came out, but then only my boyfriend's meal was brought out. The server forgot to put in my order. So while my boyfriend ate, I waited for my meal, which came out when he was done. The server was very nice and made it right and I know there was a lot going on that night, so I don't completely blame her, but I did have to wait about 20 extra mins for my meal. Still, we would come back and try it out again.

Always great experience at The Monk’s Cellar. The food is spectacular! The new menu is great! Beer is second to none and there’s a full bar with bar tenders that actually know how to expertly craft a drink. The best part IMO is the staff there. After our dinner we decided to go sit at the bar and have a cocktail. It was fun watching the bartenders making the drinks and answering all our questions about what they were making. Great experience for sure!

We had the steak & frites, mussels & frites, a fruti di mare type pasta dish, and the classic casserole. All were fantastic as usual. Try the pretzel appetizer, great to share. Drink recommendations: Amnesia for the ladies and an old fashioned for the gentlemen. Ask for the Smoke Wagon Old Fashioned for something different and amazing!

We ordered the Monks Burger, Mac & Cheese, and Turkey Club, all were perfectly cooked. Drinks were beer, wine and a specialty drink recommended by our waitress which our friend loved. Such a great place to go with friends on a Friday night.
