Great service, food, and atmosphere. The noise was ranked high due to a band the evening we were there. The summer lobster salad was reallllly good. Huge portions.

Such a fun spot for dinner and drinks or just drinks! We had a few appetizers, drinks and a dessert. Everything was fabulous.

The restaurant has a fun, cool vibe. They had live music after 7:30, the service was very good and the food for the most part was delicious. The Bao Buns, French Dip and Lobster Pasta (little too much Cayenne for my wife's liking) were excellent, the Bacon Wrapped dates not as good. Overall, we had fun, but be prepared to spend $200+ if you want a couple of cocktails. Still a fun place for a date night! We recommend it!

Fantastic intimate experience. Great service by Kayla. Wonderful entertainment by live guitarist/singer and acrobats. Food was absolutely delicious.

A fun atmosphere but the cigar room smoke smell carries into the restaurant/lounge area and if you are sensitive to that, it is a little overwhelming and unpleasant. Fun live music and entertainment. Good drinks but way overpriced. Good food!

Stopped into The Monarch Stag for drinks and food before a game at Ford Center. Excellent service and recommendations from the staff. Pleasant evening atmosphere. We left just before the live music started; hope to stay longer next time.

A unique intimate club-like atmosphere with great drinks, excellent food, attentive service and some pretty good live entertainment. Overall, a very enjoyable evening.

Great ambience. Went for a date and the waitress (Grace) made us feel very special. The musicians were amazing and the food was very good as well. Only in town for a few days/ once a year but will definitely return.

Went on a date here. This is more of a lounge, specializing in a ginormous selection of whiskey and other cocktails. This is NOT a place to have a real dinner meal. Most of the food is tapas sized and the food menu is extremely small but tasty. If you want a real dinner I would advise to go to another restaurant then come here after. They have live music and occasional lady doing an arial acrobat performance. Only downside is music can get pretty loud depending on who is playing. Otherwise it’s a pretty cool spot. We knew what we were getting into so we had a blast.

Went for an anniversary dinner which was stated on the reservation , hostess looked annoyed for some reason . Table was in the middle of the lounge was set more for drinks the actual dinner . only alternative we were giving was the small corner of the bar that faced the wall . There was one open booth but was not offered that and was told they can put us back on the wait list. I frequent the Star a lot and this place consistently feels the most unfriendly .

Love the vibe and and look of the place. Cocktails were pretty good, but were a bit pricey for DFW. I’m from Miami and it is extremely rare to see a drink priced over $20, so I wouldn’t expect $22-$28 drinks in Frisco. Not sure if I’d return because of that. If you’re really into fine whiskies, then this would definitely be the right place for you.

We have been here 3 times and love the atmosphere, food, service etc. A little pricey but worth it. We really wanted for our friends to see the young ladies do the hoop but had someone do a fire dance. So that was really the only disappointment.

The Stag was pretty cool, I had a Columbian Old Fashioned. Quaint spot but very pricey. They had every single whiskey and Scotch known to man. Will definitely return soon.

Staff never ceases to amaze with great service. Drinks were consistently replenished at the right time, food not only came quickly but was absolutely delicious.

Totally thought this was a restaurant 😳 Wrong...cigar bar at best. Scheduled a birthday dinner here. As soon as we walked in, I wanted to walk out. It might be the sister restaurant to The Glen, but very, very disappointed. Waitress, Nicole, was very attentive but she was the only waitress I saw. Walked out with a $335 bill w/o tip. Way Over-priced & not worth $400 for 4 people 🙄

When searching OpenTable for dinner restaurants in Frisco area, Monarch Stag popped up...I would consider this more of a "before dinner-drinks" type of establishment. Cocktails are creative and a great affordable wine list but the pros stop there. Most of the apps are fried and heavy. We ordered the lobster tail, crab cake, Brussel sprouts and French dip sandwich. It killed me that they took a delicate lobster tail and deep fried it with heavy coating and overcooked it leaving it so tough. Crab cake was nothing special. Brussel sprouts were tasty but overly salty and oily. French dip sandwich was mostly bread - very little meat (one 1/4" slice). Atmosphere is boujee but soooo dark! Needed flashlight to see menu! Would consider going back but for drinks only.

Loved the scenery and choices at the bar. I felt the food was underwhelming. I ordered the filet that came with a hot skillet for me to cook myself, then I was stuck with a piping hot skillet in front of me the rest of my meal. I also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and for $35 was very dry and overpriced. Nobody at the table enjoyed it. Overall we thought the food was over priced for the food.

Nice atmosphere with live jazz music. The food options were adequate for a lounge, and the service was good at the bar. Nice themed cocktail options. It’s a nice entertainment option for the area.

We really enjoyed our time here and enjoyed the live music, drinks, and food. Food seems overpriced to me and we’re foodies so we totally are down to pay more for awesome food. Food is tasty, just not like the most amazing thing you’ve ever had. We didn’t love how the waitresses were wearing tight, extremely short dresses, but maybe that’s just something that comes with a restaurant bar combo sometimes.

Really liked the restaurant. It’s very cozy. I would have liked if they had turned the chandelier and bar pendants on a little bit. They were so pretty but not turned on at all, it would have created a nice ambiance. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

Good menu is limited but food was good. Lobster in a jar was yummy! The entertainment makes the place special- wonderful singer and aerial entertainment. Very cool place. Drinks are a bit pricey though, and it’s a small place. Definitely need a reservation.
