The Monarch Club is a place like no other. Passing through the Metropolitan Building’s spectacular Great Hall hints at the elegant charm that awaits. The Monarch Club exudes both old-school intrigue and modern comfort, draped in tones of deep blue, red and gold that create a luxurious backdrop for incomparable city views. Located near attractions like Campus Martius, Corktown and Little Caesars Arena, enjoy a cocktail at one of the most expansive rooftop bars in downtown Detroit. Retreat to an intimate banquette or to the Tower Keep for a more private experience, or relax outdoors around a cozy firepit.     We had a wonderful time. The view from the rooftop is beautiful. Our server was Jordan and she was great. The issue came when it took over 30 minutes to get two drinks. Next time We will sit at the bar.

    We had wine and appetizers on the rooftop patio as a start to a special birthday celebration. The view of Detroit is spectacular and the rooftop bar was lovely. Everyone there really seemed to be enjoying the experience. I was a little hesitant to book because of the reviews about the wait times. However, everyone was very friendly, our server was terrific, and the manager kept an eye on all the guests to ensure their needs were being met. It took a bit of time for the appetizers to arrive, but it was definitely worth the wait. The lamb meatballs and the burrata with pine nuts were so delicious! Just settle in, enjoy a leisurely drink with the view and you’ll have an awesome time like we did! One of Detroit’s secret spots!

    The food and drinks were great but the service lacked for the price. The wait times to receive drinks and an appetizer were over 20 minutes. And we had to wait a long period for our bill as well. Valet service also took over 15 fifteen minutes and forget about contacting the restaurant by phone to let them know you’re waiting for valet because they won’t pick up! I wanted to love this beautiful place but I’m not sure I want to go back…

    Rooftop was beautiful! Drinks and food were great. My only complaint was the service was pretty slow. We asked for utensils / napkins about 5 times before they came which was a little frustrating.

    Sandra was great! It was a nice experience for people to take in the city of Detroit. I love kind people, so huge shoutout to the staff for making room for us and just being thoughtful. Drinks were great and not at all "watered down."

    Me and wife come here on our anniversary and her birthday and everytime we enjoy ourselves. The atmosphere, the food, and staff all make this the best place to be. Definitely recommend The Monarch Club 10/10

    Monarch club, we really wanted to enjoy our visit and even gave it a second try for a birthday get together but no, we were really disappointed. There were plenty seating available but the host guy acted like he was overwhelmed with seatings. We were there for overall an hour and half and literally no one even came to sit by the couch or corner seatings. Servers didn’t bring menus over or greeted us until another 15 minutes. When we asked the bartender behind the bar if we could get a menu ourselves, he said “well, your server should’ve bring you menus”. Service is terrible. More than half of the foods menu items were not available. Drinks are fine but for the price and service, not worth it.

    Service was very poor, took 30 min to have our orders taken and then wrong order was brought out. For this price point would anticipate better service.
