Inspired by Moroccan architecture and the Greek Islands, The Mez Club opened its doors in September 2016 and is renowned for its beautiful styling and feel good vibe. The Mez Club was designed to offer locals and tourists alike a beautiful and feel good meeting place which has a flexible menu, that works for both grazing and dining. The upstairs space known as The Souk has been designed specifically to care for parties and group events. We welcome you and your friends to join us in enjoying our restaurant and of course, beautiful Byron Bay.

In the centre of Byron Bay, lovely decor but for the price I would have expected slightly slicker service we were handed our menus but no mention that 2 things were not available due to the fryer not working - this was imparted by chance when pouring our wine by a different waiter. The menu wasn't extensive especially if you have a member of your party who like his meat and 2 veg. However the food is delicious with the exception of the chicken tagine which was dry I would expect a sauce with a tagine - this was spicy chicken on top of couscous but no stew sauce. I would recommend but with the codicil that if your very hungry best to go to a steak house.

We wandered on a rainy night and were seated upstairs overlooking the entryway. Everything about this place was done just right. The fixings, the lighting, the sounds cape, the DJ... and that's b4 you even look at the menu. The food menu is stunning. And the drinks too. The whole joint is so well put together. We had a ball. Will definitely be back ❤️

Love the Mez club… the Halloumi is amazing! And the seafood risotto is worth battling through 3 hrs of traffic for! Absolutely delicious.

A regular Mez customer ( from Melbourne ) last nights Cocktail , meal and service was exceptional good to see you one of few restaurants open on a Monday Night Keep up good standard

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. We had the kingfish, seafood linguine and lamb shoulder all were amazing. Was the best meal I had in Byron Bay and I ate at many restaurants. Can’t wait to go again

Been here many times. Each time the food, service and ambience have been excellent. Food has a twist to it without being fussy or labourer. We always order one of the tagines. Staff friendly and charming. Interior makes you feel a bit like you are in Greece or maybe North Africa. Will definitely come back next time we are in BB.

The restaurant fit out is lovely. The service was pretty ordinary along with everything on offer being over priced for what you got. Would we go back ? It’s a clear no!

We loved our dining experience at Mez Club. Food was fresh & delicious!! Waitress we had was friendly & lovely ! The staff was attentive and check in with us about our meals and drinks. That lamb entrée was delicious chicken entrée was delicious as well Kingfish Crudo amazing Definitely a must try They do have a DJ and the music is a little loud. We did sit on the patio area which was perfect for us to be able to talk to one another easily.

Delicious food Service APPALLING Waited a considerable time for our waitress Maddy to take our drink orders which I had to go the the counter and request. Maddy took our food order by memory and came back to ask our order again as forgot one dish which was ok. Food arrived minus hubbys meal.We were 3/4 thru our meals still missing hubbys dish. Once again returned to counter to ? Where and when the missing meal would it be arriving. The meal arrived quite quickly after my request with Maddy quite abruptly stating that if you order a main meal don’t expect it to come with tapas dishes though we had already received two other main meals alongside tapas meals. Left your restaurant not hungry but angry and will not return again and would not recommend to ANYONE!!! Ps The night was not at all busy.

Fantastic ambience, great for a drink but food average apart from delicious kingfish dish. Halloumi unbearably sweet and sickly we couldn’t finish it and carpaccio had no flavour at all

We loved our evening at Mez Club, we would class it as Tapas Style dining, very European influenced, lovely variety of dishes. We had Tasmanian Scallops and Pumpkin with flatbread The outstanding dish was the Chicken Tajin. Also loved the potatoes confit with prosciutto, had five courses which was loads, would highly recommend

Beautiful overall experience. Food was delicious and great value for money. Service was very friendly and helpful. And really appreciated the ability to split the bill. Thanks for such a wonderful hens dinner Mez Club. We will be back!

Had a great night again at Mez Club. Service and food was amazing. Their espresso martini is best we have even had. Our beautiful waitress Celia, could teach other restaurants in Byron Bay a thing or 2 about work ethic and great service. She help make our night out a huge success. Thank you again Celia and The Mez Club.

Attractive Morrocan decor, light and airy. Food (Tasmanian scallops/seafood risotto/Morrocan carrots/crème brûlée) was good with interesting flavours. The service was excellent.

My partner and I came here for Valentine’s Day and ordered the chefs tasting menu. We only got 3 dishes in before pulling the pin and leaving. Each dish was saturated in sweetness and the pumpkin was served especially cold. The kingfish did not taste fresh and was quite smothered by what tasted like apricot purée? Halloumi had no flavour other than the sweet sauce that it was saturated in. The service from our waiter was lovely, however at the end another waitress overcharged us more than what we ordered, even though we were told that a dish would be taken off the bill… super disappointed
