The Mayor’s House By Selda is NOW OPEN! A full service restaurant in the historic The Mayors House home in Bishop Arts District in Dallas’ Oak Cliff. Led by acclaimed chef, Habip Kargin, and serving delicious dishes, kebab, a variety of fish, pilaf, pide, pistachio desserts, and more! We have a patio off the front of the restaurant where we offer hookah. We also have a small patio upstairs with great downtown views. Downstairs we have a full bar, a place for special events.

The food here is amazing. Some of the servers are good. Some of them have never waited tables before don’t be afraid to just snag anybody and tell them what you want. Don’t wait for anybody to come to you. Always ask for the dessert tray at the end of the meal it won’t come automatically and it’s really something to see. If you can get a seat at the bar, the bartender is fantastic. He is a craftsman, professional and makes perfect drinks. He can make any drink. Just tell him what you want. The specialty drink list is amazing.

4 of us dined at The Mayor's House last night (first time). We knew it was Turkish cuisine but didn't have many expectations beyond that. Our great server recommended three appetizers to share (shrimp/garlic/, a cauliflower dish and a Turkish savory "pastry"....all were soooo good. Three of us had the lamb dish she recommend as well. We savored every bite and the accompanying salad w/ pine nuts and rice were excellent too. The fourth person had a meat dish and he said it was also very good.

The place is so lovely! Food is so delicious! The branzino (whole fish) was absolutely the best we've had. The fried cauliflower was so flavorful and the lamchops so tender and juicy. We had a Turkish red wine that was simply wonderful.

Celebrating Mother's Day at Mayor’s House was an absolute treat! The moment we entered, the ambiance set a warm and welcoming tone for our evening. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the variety of dips paired with freshly baked bread that was nothing short of divine. Each dip, rich in flavor and authentically Turkish, was a perfect starter to our meal. We also tried the salmon which was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning to complement its natural flavors without overwhelming them. It was a hit at our table, appreciated for its moist texture and delicious taste. No meal is complete without dessert, and Mayor’s House excelled here too. Their dessert selection provided a sweet finish to our Mother’s Day celebration. Each dessert was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked, leaving us all impressed.

The food is special. Authentic and super flavor filled. The entire experience was excellent from greeting to paying was a joy. Finally, the drinks off the menu were perfect.
