The Mayor’s House By Selda is NOW OPEN! A full service restaurant in the historic The Mayors House home in Bishop Arts District in Dallas’ Oak Cliff. Led by acclaimed chef, Habip Kargin, and serving delicious dishes, kebab, a variety of fish, pilaf, pide, pistachio desserts, and more! We have a patio off the front of the restaurant where we offer hookah. We also have a small patio upstairs with great downtown views. Downstairs we have a full bar, a place for special events.

Our upstairs bar/dining area is available for private events. It is very spacious and can accommodate 30-50 people. We also have a private dining room that is able to be closed off that includes an outdoor patio with a view of Downtown Dallas.

Everything was fine for the most part. We had so many flies flying around that I was afraid to open my mouth. Also, the was literally NO air movement in the room we were located. Food was so good. Server was good.

First time at The Mayor's House and it was a great experience! Husband had the kabob special, I opted for the lamb chops. Both entrees were cooked to perfection, tasty and filling. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Service was spectacular - extremely friendly and quick to react when necessary. Great time all the way around. We'll be back!

Food well-prepared. Service intermittent and lacked training (e.g. offering to remove a plate halfway through the course). Chipped crockery.

We were a party of eight having dinner before a show at the Kessler and this was our first visit. Between the eight of us, I think we all ordered different things and everything was absolutely delicious. From the fried cauliflower to all the different spreads, the bread, the branzino, 2 different lamb dishes, beet salad—all very fresh, tasty, good size portions AND very reasonable. Also enjoyed different cocktails and Turkish wine! The service was very attentive and well timed! We will definitely be going back!!

I met a friend for an early dinner and it was our first time to dine at The Mayors House. The atmosphere is very nice set in a historic home with contemporary interior. The food was delicious and service was very good. Their fried cauliflower and muhammara red pepper spread is addictive. The lahmacun (Turkish flatbread) is also very good. We split the lamb shish, which they served on 2 long skewers with Turkish salad. The meat was a bit dry and chewy but had a good flavor. If I order it again I will ask for tzatziki and eat it more like a gyro wrapped in their bread with the yummy onions, tomatoes & mint they serve along side. Having traveled to Turkey multiple times it was fun to eat some true authentic Turkish cuisine in Dallas and I look forward to returning to The Mayor’s House soon.
