The Mayor’s House By Selda is NOW OPEN! A full service restaurant in the historic The Mayors House home in Bishop Arts District in Dallas’ Oak Cliff. Led by acclaimed chef, Habip Kargin, and serving delicious dishes, kebab, a variety of fish, pilaf, pide, pistachio desserts, and more! We have a patio off the front of the restaurant where we offer hookah. We also have a small patio upstairs with great downtown views. Downstairs we have a full bar, a place for special events.

Our upstairs bar/dining area is available for private events. It is very spacious and can accommodate 30-50 people. We also have a private dining room that is able to be closed off that includes an outdoor patio with a view of Downtown Dallas.

We were a party of eight having dinner before a show at the Kessler and this was our first visit. Between the eight of us, I think we all ordered different things and everything was absolutely delicious. From the fried cauliflower to all the different spreads, the bread, the branzino, 2 different lamb dishes, beet salad—all very fresh, tasty, good size portions AND very reasonable. Also enjoyed different cocktails and Turkish wine! The service was very attentive and well timed! We will definitely be going back!!

I met a friend for an early dinner and it was our first time to dine at The Mayors House. The atmosphere is very nice set in a historic home with contemporary interior. The food was delicious and service was very good. Their fried cauliflower and muhammara red pepper spread is addictive. The lahmacun (Turkish flatbread) is also very good. We split the lamb shish, which they served on 2 long skewers with Turkish salad. The meat was a bit dry and chewy but had a good flavor. If I order it again I will ask for tzatziki and eat it more like a gyro wrapped in their bread with the yummy onions, tomatoes & mint they serve along side. Having traveled to Turkey multiple times it was fun to eat some true authentic Turkish cuisine in Dallas and I look forward to returning to The Mayor’s House soon.

This is one of my new favorite restaurants everything was so great. The staff were courteous and so friendly. They are all Turkish which I think is so great and adds to the authenticity of the restaurant. It’s very cute, and the upstairs would be perfect for an engagement party. The food really stole the show though. We had the lamb, salmon, halloumi, eggplant salad, and fried cauliflower. Everything was so delicious and had amazing flavor. Can’t recommend this place enough. I believe that they even have hookah available on the porch.

Another home-run by the staff & owners of The Mayor's House by Selda! Seated in our favorite section of the restaurant (upstairs by the 2nd bar). Our server was Reja (sp?), whom we have known for many years from the original Selda location in Addison. For starters we split the kale salad & an order of the grilled eggplant salad (babaganoush). We each ended up ordering a pide for our entrés, and they were flavorful and cooked to perfection, The highlight of the experience is always a peek at the dessert tray - it's HUGE!! The pastry chef they have on-site is a master! We love the fact that their deserts are not the typical "Texas Steakhouse" style heavy & HUGE portion desserts. One of our favorite "frequent flyer" choices is the St. Sebastian crustless cheesecake in pistachio. We learned that there is now a lemon version, so we ordered that. TO.DIE.FOR! We live minutes from the original Addison Selda location, but Mayor's House by Selda is on a whole new level of quality & dining experience. It's WELL worth the drive from far N. Dallas to Bishop Arts district. KUDOS to Habip & Mert for such a wonderful dining experience! We'll be back soon!!

The Mayor's House is really beautiful, especially all lit up on the hill. The food is very good and fresh and the value is very good as the portions are generous. We will definitely go again. We appreciated that they accomodated our party and put us in a quiet place as one of us has a hearing issue.
