    Celebration dinner following an evening graduation. We had reservations outside which was lovely. However, our waitress was totally absent. It took almost 30 minutes and a word with the hostess to even be acknowledged by the waitress. Service was lacking. The food was marginal and most of the simple orders were wrong, not that there was anyone asking. Very disappointing meal in a wonderful setting. Breakfast the next morning was perfect and delicious. Clearly, they can get it right but the celebration dinner was a huge disappointment.

    The food was excellent and the service was friendly. Nice selections on the menu. It was a little noisy to carry a conversation but manageable.

    Based upon other reviews we really excited about brunch at the Mark. I am thinking that perhaps because our reservation was for Mothers Day that the restaurant was a bit overwhelmed. The reservation system itself as a bit jenky but the Mark team worked through that easily. Our server was fantastic and really made the difference in our experience. This was a buffet (hosted in the hotel banquet room) but even making allowances: (ie) some of the food (scrambled eggs) were cold and a bit dry, the tables weren't completely set ( no salt /pepper, no butter). Again minor issues but based upon the reputation and the cost one would expect a different experience. Having said all that, we will revisit on a more routine day as the restaurant itself looked inviting and the staff was great.

    Always a great breakfast- One of the reasons we like to stay here so we can have breakfast with our Elon student child before leaving town.
