Excellent experience!!!! One of the best oysteria in LA. We had the TLO martini with the oysters and caviar bump. Really good. Shared a dozen FRESH Atlantic oysters and the scallop agua chili. An orgasmic experience lol. Great atmosphere, arrived on a Thursday and pretty empty. Word is it’s gets packed later in the evening. Ooo and their Open til 2am!! Definitely recommend. We will back!

20 minute wait - they said they forgot about us? Neighboring table had a dog barking loudly throughout the meal and the staff didn’t do a thing. Unpleasant experience.

This review is purely for the service as we did not try the food. Had an 8:30pm reservation on Friday, arrived at 8:35 and was told they would seat us in a minute because the table before us was leaving. Got directed to the bar to wait and tldr; no one checked on us or sat us for 30 mins. While we got drinks, we kept getting moved around by wait staff trying to get through even though there was no other space we could be at. Additionally, a booth opened up and another party that arrived way after us got seated there instead. Decided to leave after finishing our drinks, and still, no one acknowledged us as we were leaving. Suffice to say we'll never be going back.

It was unfortunate. But all of the things we came for were not on the menu. I brought my family from out of town because we all love crab and shrimp Louie and lobster and we had planned them coming from across the country for a big night dinner JUST for those things it wasn’t on the menu. Others items we asked for were not as well and the waiter wasnt that nice. Drinks very expensive. It was loud. I came before once outside once with just my husband and we had a better time. We spent over 750$ and we all left disappointed and hungry. I will say the man that helped us get the table from 6 to 8 people. Before was nice. Otherwise we all miss the lonely Louie and were very sad.

We had amazing service from Anton. He advised us impeccably well on which oysters would be best suited for us - we ended up ordering a second large tray round and frolicked in oysters! As my main dish I had the miso-brown butter lobster brioche Lunker Roll. Thought Inhar died and went to heaven. I’m serious. Beyond words. So worth the price!!!!! Even seemingly mundane fries were delicious there. They came with tartar sauce

I tried their clam chowder, seafood platter, and Washington oysters and caviar tart. Everything was amazing. I was so full, and I just couldn't stop thinking about how delicious everything was. If you are looking for oysters, this is the place.

It was great having a night out here! West, our server, was super sweet, helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and although this spot is pretty casual, the ambiance was cozy and perfect for a date night.

Foods were amazing and very fresh to the top level. Restaurant was very cozy inside and service was also great. Only one minus star is for the food portion compared to the price was a bit too high.

I LOVE this place! Delightful and knowledgeable staff. The cocktails are unique and well balanced (my fav is The Stargazer), and they have a great wine selection as well. The FOOD. Oh my goodness, the FOOD. It's just to die for. I have been here several times and it is quickly becoming my newest obsession and is my go-to recommendation and place I take out of town guests. The sustainably sourced oysters are always on point and don't even get me started on their incredible raw bar menu. (The cavi-uni wonton and surf and turf tartare are not to be missed) I have yet to have even a "good" dish here (and I've probably tried a solid 60% of the menu by now) --rather, every dish I've had has been EXCELLENT. Highly recommend.

Some awkwardness with the initial place we were seated, as we were told we couldn't have a booth because were just two people. Seemed understandable until the booth was offered to the couple directly after us... This seemed pretty unprofessional, but we proceeded to order. Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh and well executed. The standouts were the Oysters, Ahi tuna tartare, and the scallops. We will be back.

Truly outstanding. I had the Lonely Louie salad, their crab, and shrimp salad. I couldn't believe how much better it was than any Crab Louis salad I've ever had. The salad dressing was crazy good, the vegetables were perfect. My friend had the Classic Brekkie which was also excellent, and they said the scrambled eggs were the best they'd ever had. Simple dishes, elevated. The service was also great. Will be back + can't recommend it enough.

Very tiny portions for top dollar. I think it’s good for people to be aware of this before dining. Overall delicious but if you leave still hungry and you have a small stomach…. AND you spent $200 — it’s gotta be said. So I’m giving those reading this a fair warning

I recently dined at The Lonely Oyster for the 12th time, and once again, it exceeded my expectations in every way. The beautifully decorated decor creates a warm and inviting ambiance that always sets the perfect mood for a delightful meal. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the exceptional staff. General manager Gareth, in particular, is outstanding in ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that guests have a wonderful experience. The service from Anton was caring and knowledgeable, making us feel right at home. Now, onto the food – the seafood tower was a highlight of the evening, featuring some of the best shrimp I've ever tasted. The freshness and flavors were exceptional. The cioppino was a seafood lover's dream, brimming with a generous variety of seafood, and the portion size was impressive. Chef Dom Crisp's innovative approach to the menu at The Lonely Oyster is truly remarkable. His culinary creations are a testament to his creativity and talent, consistently delivering dishes that surprise and delight the taste buds. I can't forget to mention the impeccable fish and chips, which were cooked to golden perfection. Every visit to The Lonely Oyster reminds me why it's my go-to place for outstanding seafood and a memorable dining experience. This restaurant never disappoints.

The food itself at The Lonely Oyster was really great, the portion sizes are nothing to write home about but everything tasted excellent. I was unfortunately a little disappointed with the space. I didn't realize it would be so cramped and loud inside. I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance and noted that I'd love a booth in the bank or a quiet space since I was dining with someone hard of hearing, but upon arriving the host denied us a booth even though there was one open. I don't necessarily blame anyone on the service staff because the space was so small and limited that I understand not all accommodations can be met. It just was then so loud and hard to hear each other as the night went on, we were practically yelling across the small table. So again, I don't want to knock the place because I know not all accommodations can always be met, just something worth noting if someone has a guest who may be hard of hearing. Again, the food itself was great - pretty expensive for what it was, but tasty nonetheless.

Enjoyed the meal, we shared all dishes amongst the four of us. Notably, we enjoyed the brown butter scallops (innovative and delicious), the tomato mozzarella salad, the raw oysters (very fresh), seared salmon was cooked perfectly. The daily special steak was also terrific, but surf part wasn't and the dish was so overpriced in hindsight. Salmon Crudo was not par with the rest of the meal.

Service was so friendly and helpful and food was delicious. Our server picked out an array of different oysters that were awesome and accommodated our dietary restrictions. We also had the salmon appetizer and esquites and both were amazing. Recommend the TLO martini with added oyster and cavi too!

A little small gem in what many consider the Brooklyn of Los Angeles. It was a cute, quaint and extremely trendy restaurant. It served a fabulous selection of oysters and fresh seafood. Excellent.

If you enjoy Ted And Connie in West Hollywood, The Lonely Oyster is the East Side version. Great food, loved my salmon. We eaten here twice within a month period.

This restaurant is not in a good neighborhood, is not 4 or 5 star, and our bill came out to $414 for 2 people (with tip). We were floored! I would expect that at a 5 star restaurant but not here. The food was generally pretty tasty but not for that price.

The food was delicious and had several items I hadn't had before, like the brown butter scallops which was a great find. Price was quite high for the very casual ambience, but the staff were lovely.
