A lovely venue, close to travel from southport. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Food is plentiful so come hungry. I chose two starters but my elderly companion (96) wolfed down his prawn starter then sea bass with all the trimmings, which looked very good. My prawns and chorizo course was very oily but luckily most had soaked into the bread underneath. On the whole a great evening meal.

Fabulous food and service as always. My dad always has the fish and chips as it is amazing and for me it is the scampi or mushroom stroganoff and both are always amazing

Excellent food very well presented always has a specials menu which changes regularly staff very polite and professional the conservatory is an especially nice area to have a meal good value for money

The warmth of our welcome and the overall service, allied to a very interesting and wide ranging menu, followed by high quality courses, made this a very enjoyable evening.

Excellent food served not as always. Staff very attentive and extremely polite and efficient. Would recommend anytime Love visiting the Legh as I know it will be first class

I’ve been several times and had the fish pie but on our last visit the fish pie was very disappointing why have you changed it from previous menu

Another fabulous meal at the Legh Arms. We brought a friend, it was her first visit and she was very impressed. I had goats cheese to start, my favourite, followed by Fisherman's bake which was superb. Lots of fish and a cheesy crumb topping, delicious. My husband had soup and the Fisherman's bake, my friend had goujons and chicken stroganoff which she thorough enjoyed. No room for dessert so we opted for coffee and another drink in the bar. Although the restaurant and bar were very busy the service was good and the ambience great, even had a birthday cake brought to another table with do ginger which was lovely!

Been many times before and it’s usually great but not on this occasion. Service was very slow and the food was below par. Starter was great (salt & pepper ribs) but the main was dissapointing. Had the Farmyard Burger which I was expecting to be like it used to be (my fault, didn’t read the description properly), where it was a chicken breast and 1 beef patty but this was a Cajun chicken breast with barbecued pulled pork. I felt the spice of the Cajun seasoning together with the overly-sweet BBQ sauce in the pulled pork just didn’t work. The chicken seemed lower quality more like something from the supermarket, fatty and was a bit “squelchy” in texture, slightly underdone in my opinion, it was an insult to one’s tastebuds! The fries which are normally tasty were flavourless, and sadly do not feel I received value for money on this occasion. Other members of the booking party also felt a similar underwhelming experience. It will probably be a while before we return again.
