First timers so we really didn’t know what to expect. At first, we thought it was closed cause the windows are so dark from the outside and all there is for a sign was a bird. As you walk in, the bar is right there and then dining room area to your right. It has a fun vibe to the place - with a neon The Jungle Bird sign photo-op area for those who love them. The place is otherwise super dark inside…watch your step. Music was old school - not totally the tiki vibe we expected but it was fine. Service: Wasn’t that busy when we arrived but felt rushed with getting our order in. Drinks were on-point! Did need to mention to the server it was a birthday even though it was noted on the reservation. Food: Appetizers were good, but didn’t taste homemade - especially when you know what they taste like from Costco. But with the drinks, they were a nice welcome to help soak up the alcohol. Would definitely come back for drinks and appetizers. For dinner though, there isn’t much variety to entertain going for just for that. Two out of the four/five menu options were not available which made it slimmer on options. The fries were on point. The Dole Whip is refreshing and delicious - 2 people can share. They offer this to the birthday person. All in all, we had a nice time and will give it another try for drinks and appetizers but will likely skip dinner.

The ambience as perfect on Friday after work. Great food and customer service! We plan on taking our adult kids with us next time!

Very disappointing experience for Mother’s Day. We have been here a few times, and it is usually a great time. But, this time, service was lacking, music was not what you would expect at a tiki bar, but more of a hospital elevator. The vibe was off to say the least. We were there early when it opened, and there weren’t many people there, maybe 3 tables total. Yet, it took forever to get a drink, and there were 3 staff members behind the bar, talking and on their phone. Then the hostess joined them for a shot, while we were watching, waiting to order drinks. Our server was very nice, when he would stop at table.

This is one of my favorite spots in Sacramento. The ambiance is second to none and the drinks and food are fantastic. Recommend making the reservation indoors unless you aren’t a fan of amazing immersive tiki ambiance, which is one of the main reasons I go. You still have the cool music but there wasn’t any heaters on a cold night and it’s just not half as great on theming.

You can’t beat this place for the ambiance and their drinks are delicious. We came for May the 4th and it was a fun night out. Staff was very friendly, definitely a cool place worth checking out.

We attended the Star Wars Jedi Bird event! It was very fun being able to enjoy our themed tiki drinks and the Ronto Wrap. We all got some of the specialty mugs to go as well. My husband LOVES the tie fighter one he bought and Darth Vader is my absolute favorite! The drinks were all excellent and the food we ordered was amazing! The service might have been the best we have ever recieved at Jungle Bird as our server was very responsive and the food came out quite quickly! We can't wait for next year's event and for the Disney pop up this summer!
