    Wonderful experience! Highly recommend asking for a table upstairs. The monkfish & prawn curry was amazing & the service was impeccable.

    I booked the Ivy as it was my husband’s birthday,and we have been to the restaurant before and enjoyed it.Tables to close together.We could hear the two females on the next table conversations Also we could hear a drilling noise coming from below us After giving our drinks and food order to the waitress,we waited around 15 mins on our drinks which one of them wasn’t what we order,the waiter took the wrong one away,but never returned with the right drink The waitress noticed the waiter wasn’t returning with the other drink,so she went to the bar and brought it to us We thought the service was slow. I didn’t want to pay the service charge as I felt we didn’t really get one,but my husband didn’t want to make a fuss so he payed it

    Extremely disappointing. Not what we were expecting. Staff very dour until it came to paying the bill. Service, food, ambiance not what we expected from such an iconic restaurant. They tried to add a £50 service charge to a bill of £128!! Would never visit again and couldn’t recommend

    great atmosphere and good. drinks were also good but we had our appetisers before we got out drinks and they took about 45 mins to come

    Good but not great Edinburgh has other Restaurants that offer much more The Ivy for me is too pretentious a place to be seen.
