Very nice njoyabl but a 75ml glass of Sauvignon, not picked but asked for to the waiter at £15 was a bit steep

Lovely breakfast and coffee for my daughter and myself- we had poached eggs and avocado - perfect for vegetarians and served hot and beautifully presented - impeccable manners from staff too

A very good menu and food didn’t disappoint. Great location if going to a performance at Edinburgh Playhouse.

Some of the wait staff were friendly but some were more stand off ish and we waited quite a while for a coffee to come and when it did it was cold.

Did not appreciate that we were on time yet the table was not ready and so we were forced to sit at the bar and spend additional on drinks.

The Ivy Edinburgh was a nice experience. We went for my husband's birthday. The food was lovely. I had the sea bass with shrimp sauce, mash and sea greens. My husband had coconut and chicken curry with rice. We both enjoyed our main meal. For desert we had the selection of cheeses, crackers, grapes and chutney which was enjoyed. As it was my husband's birthday he was also given a little complimentary birthday profiterol with a candle and happy birthday chocolate. What a nice touch. The only complaint is that it is very busy (5pm Saturday) and a little crammed as tables are very close together.

Had a fantastic pre-theatre meal with family. Staff welcoming and attentive. Great choice of food and every course delicious. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful evening. Always fun dining at the Ivy. Our waiter was exceptional, lovely guy from South Africa ( sorry forgotten his name) very attentive. We loved our table the atmosphere was great. Food really tasty. I always order the same! Chicken Milanese my favourite. Starter Duck Salad….amazing flavoursome dish, I’d recommend! It was my partners 60th so we were surprised by a celebration dessert plate which was very special, thank you staff.

Wenn ich ein Menü kaufe mit Vorspeise und Hauptgang sollte man davon ausgehen, das man satt wird + überteuerte Getränke + Servicegebühr. War zwar lecker aber das hat nicht einmal für eine Kindportion gereicht.

The food was nice but some were sparse in size. The maitre d’ was not very helpful but the staff were really nice.

Cucumber sandwich’s on the afternoon tea were soggy, not just ours looking at other peoples plates too. A better balance between savoury and sweet would have been preferred with slightly too much emphasis on the sweet. Very friendly and attentive staff and a nice birthday touch with the additional cake was much appreciated,

Nice location and good table on the second floor. Service was good. Food was average at best. Chips were overcooked and shepheds pie was OK.

The restaurant was very good. We had the two course special. The Shepard’s Pie was amazing!! I only gave it an overall 4 because we were seated right next to the server’s station. They attempted to create a little privacy with a plexiglass barrier. However, there was a lot of activity so we ended up watching them work rather than enjoying our meal.

We took our baby after reading online that children of all ages are welcome however we were not made to feel welcome. This was our first proper meal out since having a baby and we were very excited for it. There are no baby changing facilities to start so I had to change my baby on the floor of the toilet! Certainly not what I expect from the Ivy. Staff did not check on us compared to other tables. The sun was blinding myself and the baby for most of the meal. Staff checked ig the table next to us were OK with the sun but neglected to ask us. The wrong sauce came with our steak then it was corrected and no one checked on how the rest of the meals were... the chips were cold and the steak over cooked. Certainly not what we expect from the Ivy having eaten at many other Ivy's in the UK. Sadly would consider eating elsewhere now than another Ivy as we were not made to feel welcome with our young baby and the food and service was not up to scratch. Over priced for the quality received.

Good value for money we had main course and pudding probably will have a starter next time. Food was delicious and our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

I had been given a voucher last year from my family that I misplaced ! I did eventually find it again, but unfortunately, it had expired !! I got in touch with The Ivy in the hope that they would still accept the expired voucher. I was delighted when their head office got back in touch to say I could use it . We booked The Ivy in the square in Edinburgh. The staff were amazing, the food was excellent . We were delighted with our overall experience. Thank you so much to the Ivy for accepting our voucher as a goodwill gesture. You guys made my birthday celebrations complete. Would definitely go again. The place is amazing ! Thanks again Alison 😊

A little dissapointing really, the wrong order arrived for my wifw and the replacement took a little time to arrive, fully apologetice but still added their"optional" service change to the bill

Really nice place and the food was generally good. A bit pricey, the steak was over-cooked and a service charge was automatically applied for a table of two which were the only bad points.

Disappointed. I was there alone for afternoon tea. I had been to The Ivy London and had a lovely experience. This time, I was nearly ignored. Had to ask for my tea multiple times. When it finally arrived, it was the wrong tea. Person who first took my order never came back to the table. A kind young man, another server, had to finish up with me. He was so kind and none of it was his fault. Truly disappointed in an event I was eagerly anticipated.

The place itself is amazing. We got a full Scottish breakfast but we didn’t get our sausage. The hostess was lovely but there was a bit of a snobby man that didn’t really want to seem to help you in anyway. Had a lovely experience, but I don’t think I would ever go back
