The sandwiches were average. I wouldn’t say it is good value. The drinks weren’t refreshed and my friend who wanted a cold drink instead was offered one at extra cost. Overall, I wouldn’t go back. Service was good though and the place looks great inside.

We were celebrating my friends 70th birthday so really wanted to push the boat out and The Ivy did not disappoint. Friendly greeting when we arrived and courteous and knowledgeable waiting staff throughout the meal. Plenty of choice on the menu and delicious cocktails both alcohol free and alcohol included. We were not at all rushed which was really appreciated. Could find no fault with anything.

The food was really good and the staff attentive and very accommodating, they made an evening celebration a success. Great atmosphere and decor. I recommend the bread as a starter, it is warm and light, excellent for pairing with the cheese soufflé.

Very nice restaurant and amazing food. The waiters were very polite and the whole experience was great. Would visit anytime again.

Th Ivy? What do I say about it. I expected the world and got a relatively small country. The decor was good and interesting to look at. Lots going on so if you are bored with your guests there are some talking points. The staff were friendly despite their stiff uniforms. Matching waistcoats are lovely but not my cup of tea. I would prefer a friendly atmosphere without that barrier I suppose. The food was lovely and there were interesting things on the menu to choose. The only problem is, I have had better food in smaller restaurants with more casual friendly staff. It does sound like I am being negative but I have never tried the Ivy and it wasn’t what I thought it would be like. It was good but I don’t need to go again. The Salted Caramel Espresso Martini did taste like tiramisu in a glass though, worth going for that if nothing else 😆😘

They served under cooked chicken and instead of apologizing informed us “it was a different cut of meat and a blood vessel”….. your menu says chicken breast?! Service was shocking Attitude of some of the staff was awful. That only changed when they realized they served under cooked chicken. Was PINK. Don’t go on a busy night go when they is probably 3-5 customers you might get decent food and good service.

The table we were seated at first was cold, and when we asked to move this was done without a problem too a much warmer area. The young man who assisted with this was charming, polite and very helpful. The food was quite good apart from my miso fillet steak which was tough and i left half.

An outstanding afternoon tea. The quality of the patisserie was unbelievable. Service is charming and the place is great. It was an 86th Birthday celebration and it couldn’t have been lovelier. Much, much better than anywhere else in Brighton.

The most beautiful surroundings and amazing food and service. A wonderful experience from beginning to end. We were celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday and it was simply perfect!

Hi, I understand that the fish and chips my friends had were good. My seabass with mash and samphire was a bit so-so. The samphire was so sparse I didn't even see the little there was of it until the end and the sauce wasn't a great match for the fish. Very watery and bland.

Enjoy our time at the Ivy, lovely atmosphere, friendly stuff and Delish food as always. Only downside was that the wait to be served and pay felt a little bit too long

Had a lovely meal at the IVY BRIGHTON to celebrate a 60th Birthday . Service was excellent and attentive but not too much that it was over baring. Food was good all served hot and in a timely manner. Our server was EMILY who was polite and attentive and friendly and gave a good service. Meal overall was excellent, enjoyable and very tasty. We had Prawn Cocktail and Tempura Squid to start followed by Seabass and a Lobster linguine all was well presented and tasted gorgeous. We had a very enjoyable evening and it didn't disappoint. This was our first time at The IVY BRIGHTON and will definitely be coming back again soon.

My partner's surprise birthday treat. She loved the place, the food was excellent. The waitress overheard her talking to the table next door about birthdays (they were celebrating on, too), and she presented us with a large choux bun with a candle on top, which made our day even better, top marks for that.

Have to start by saying that the food is delicious, a meal you slow down eating so the experience will last longer. Only 4 stars because one main course wasn’t hot enough, it was a chicken dish with lots of colder foods on top, which cooled down the chicken. Service too was almost faultless, previous Ivy visits our wine glasses were topped up without us knowing, this time we had to ask. The ambiance was compromised somewhat by very loud patrons on the next table. The style and decoration was very appealing.

The staff were brilliant as was the food. The table we had wasn’t great as we were in the middle of what felt a walk way so not very private and quite loud. But overall it was great.

We booked an early pre theatre dinner yesterday and the food, drink and especially the service was great. Our waitress was so attentive and when we said that we had a theatre show at 7.30 she made sure we didn’t have to wait too long between meals and bought extra gravy etc when she heard my friend say that she loved it and wanted to dip her lovely bread!

Lovely staff, the decor is decadent. The set menu was great value. Food was nice. Hardly any gluten free options and no indication on the menu as to allergens so the staff member had to go through the menu with me.

We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived. The waiter was very professional and speedy with our drinks and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in this beautiful restaurant. The 1917 lunch menu was exceptional good value as well as being delicious, especially the shepherds pie. My husband particularly enjoyed his frozen berries dessert.
