The Private Room at The Ivy Chelsea Garden seats 30 on one long table, or 24 on three round tables of 8, and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks and canapé receptions for 50 guests, 7 days a week.Decorated in a similar style to The Ivy Chelsea Garden, the walls of The Private Room are adorned with colourful vintage botanical prints and sumptuous floral artwork. The bespoke patterned white Carrara and Fior de Pesco grey marble tiled flooring, eclectic mix of vintage dining chairs upholstered with bold floral and palm printed fabric and hanging gilt leaf pendants add a touch of glamour to the room.With a selection of menus available, specially created by our Executive Chef, Sean Burbidge, The Private Room is equally as suited to private parties and wedding celebrations as it is for corporate breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There is a beautiful marble top private bar decorated with bevelled antique mirror panels and trimmed brass.

Food order wasn't placed - so large delay - staff had an argument in restaurant in front of dinners. Walked outside to see staff smoking in front of restaurant. V unusual for flag ship Ivy and quite disappointing given we regularly attend

A few things that were out of character for The Ivy, a chain that I so greatly admire: - my coffee order was taken 15-20 minutes after my arrival - I ordered an almond flat white. I first received a regular cappuccino. Ten minutes later I received an almond cappuccino. Two minutes after that, I received the same almond cappuccino titled as an almond flat white. I can tell it was the same coffee for the following reasons: I saw the waiters at the bar return the same coffee to me, the foam was already aired, and a third of the beverage was only foam (as expected of a cappuccino) - we received a bread basket and butter at the table before we even ordered food. This was intended for a different table - the waiter knocked over a menu on our table when talking to the patrons at the table next to us None of the faults in particular would have bothered me if they happened individually but since all three happened in the same visit I can’t help but feel like the staff is not as coordinated as expected of such a high quality restaurant. I appreciate that Saturdays are busy days and there are many patrons but I expect the same level quality of service, especially from the supposed best Ivy in the chain. I don’t believe I will return to this location anytime soon.

Overall, this is a very nice place; my husband and I have been here many times for brunches and dinners. However, today's experience was not the best. We had multiple waiters serving our table, and they kept asking the same questions every five minutes, so we could enjoy conversation. Additionally, one of the waiters only addressed my husband, repeatedly asking, "Is everything okay, sir? Do you like the food, sir?". It would be nice to acknowledge the presence of both people, especially since I made the reservation and ordered the food.

The toilets were out of order when we arrived but were working again before we left. We had a variety of waiters which made things confusing at times.

Initially we were put on a table very close to 2 other tables which was claustrophobic. Fortunately we managed to get seated at a comfortable spot in the Terrace area which was superb. The staff we were all very attentive and the food was delicious

I am a regular st THe Ivy and always like to. I had table for six last night (5 guests). The restaurant was not busy! We sat at 7.15. Got served at 8.15 to 9! Th service was extremely slow. The server was very apologetic but noting improved. Even ordering wine took for ages. The staff try hard. They can only only do there best of food is not coming form the kitchen!

We had a very nice experience for Sunday breakfast at The Ivy Chelsea, the waiter was very attentive but not overbearing. The food was of a high standard and the portion size was good.
