We had an absolutely lovely time at The Ivy. We were asked if it was a special occasion and we said we had just got married! The service was perfect, nothing too much trouble and not at all rushed. All the food was presented beautifully and was delicious, we had brunch. I had eggs royale with smoked salmon and it was amazing. A short time afterwards they presented us with a gorgeous chocolate choir bun dessert for sharing with congratulations on it which was a really lovely touch and made our day!! Highly recommend The Ivy Tunbridge Wells.

The bar’s the star. Started with a strawberry/rhubarb Bellini and finished with a chocolate/cherry martini. Wonderful. Everything in between was great too.

The food is pretty consistent with all branches of the Ivy - the Sunday roast was a little disappointing, why ask how you would like the beef cooked if it is all served well done and when asked reply that 'they cannot cater for individual tastes' ? Service was quite slow - particularly drinks and the initial taking of our order.

I was using my Mother’s Day gift voucher and I was very disappointed to be asked to pay more money because the prices had gone up! I have told a lot of people about this experience as I did not expect it to happen anywhere, especially in an establishment such as The Ivy 😩

This was the first time we've dined at the Tunbridge Wells Ivy & we'll certainly come again. Overall it was a memorable experience. My only criticism is that our starters appeared too quickly. I'd only drunk a third of my gin & tonic when they arrived.

Food quality was disappointing, I had the chicken and had no taste, it was also very dry, the basil pesto was far too strong on the rocket salad, and the waiter was far too loud, he filled my glass up with wine to the top so I had about 1/2 pint of wine in my glass, and poured it like he was pouring water. Such a shame that one person can ruin it for the rest of them.

I have been here on several occasions before & its usually been OK if always overpriced. On this trip they had no Shepperd's Pie, absolutely ridiculous as its there signature dish & they should never allow this to run out, its not rocket science to make it. Instead we had Rin Eye Steaks. These were incredibly fatty even for rib eye, I was able to eat about 20% of what was on my plate. I mentioned this to the waiter who said that they had had a lot of complaints about the Rib Eye tonight, however no discount was made to the bill. £36 for an inedible steak made me leave feeling ripped off. Unlikely to return for a long while.

We were overcharged by £50 which we didn’t notice until later that evening. I called the Ivy and they were going to call back to refund the mistake but we have heard nothing since. Not impressed.

My partner and myself received a warm Welcome and were shown to our table. We had afternoon tea. The food was very good with a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Personally a few too many sweet things for my taste as I would have preferred more of their very nice sandwiches. Service on the top up of tea was a little slow. Overall nice restaurant and nice staff and good food

Lovely brunch and had window seat as requested. Unfortunately it seemed that the waiting staff forgot we were there so had to ask 3 times for service ( no knives for croissants, breakfast plates not cleared, weren’t asked if we wanted more tea or drinks). Disappointing service overall, which was not our past experience

There’s a nightclub below and the table and chair vibrate while you eat. The fish wasn’t cooked which was deducted from the bill. Such a shame as would never go back now.

As a birthday lunch we came to The Ivy and had a wonderful experience. My daughters had never been before and as a family we had such a lovely couple of hours. The food and service were outstanding and we will be back very soon.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff, let down by an annoying set-meal menu structure and well-presented but disappointing main courses. With respect to the set-meal structure, the two-course version no longer offers the choice of starter and main or main and desert, which is frequently found with many other establishments. As my wife never has a starter, but always a desert, she therefore had to choose her meal from the à la carte menu. So one star deducted for this. Two further stars were deducted for the main courses. Considering our delightfully presented and tasty starters (my daughter and myself) and ultimately my dessert, we all felt let down by the main courses. My wife and I both had a surprisingly-average "classic" shepherd's pie, accompanied by a gravy that disappointingly reminded us in so many ways of the type we both experienced at school. If it did indeed contain red wine as alleged by the menu, then we both certainly couldn't taste it. Our daughter, for whose birthday we'd booked the meal, was equally disappointed with her lobster languine, expecting a much better sensory experience for the price. However, she was delighted with the, unexpected to her, birthday surprise which followed. This Ivy touch rounded off the meal nicely.

The food was absolutely delicious, and it was really great service. It was my partners birthday which I added a note to the booking and they surprised him with a birthday pudding. Best meal out we’ve had in a long time! Will go back.

We have been here a few times. We arrived in time for our booking and when we were seated we were told we only had 1hr 15 mins as they needed the table back. There were 4 of us. I know they were busy but service was then a bit slow (considering they wanted the table back). We were going to have dessert but decided we didn’t have time so left it. Just as well as by the time we got the bill our time was up. Don’t think 1hr 15 mins was an acceptable time frame.

Hi, a table of four is allocated 2 hours, it sounds as though you arrived a little late for your booking? Unfortunately on busy days we cant always extend the table times. All details will be in your confirmation email or text. With bookings back-to-back, we do our best to ensure all of our guests are sat at the time of their reservation. Have always been a huge fan of The Ivy. Sadly our latest visit we had cold and luke warm food - service was average. It wasn’t even busy, no excuse. Was told by a member is staff they needed the table back when we had been sat with our cards waiting to pay for 10 minutes. Come on The Ivy - pull your socks up …..

Went for a meal early Saturday evening . Customer service was excellent and both myself and my wife really enjoyed the main course and dessert. The only thing that we had a minor niggle with (not the restaurant's fault) was we were very near a table of 7 girls 'out on the town' who were extremely noisy snd shouty (to the extent conversation was difficult!) . I would have asked to have been moved but the restaurant was extremely busy. Other than that it was very enjoyable.

I was given an afternoon tea voucher as a present, I think its appalling I was then given a bill to pay an extra £8.24, I have been to the ivy in Brighton with a voucher and have never had this, I will make sure all my family and friends are aware so they don't make the same mistake you cannot expect a customer to pay extra when their voucher particularly states what they are having. Everyone needs to keep well away from the Ivy Tunbridge wells

A Christmas gift from my son became a memorable luncheon at the Ivy in Tunbridge Wells in April. It was a quiet shopping morning in T Wells but when we entered The restaurant we were warmly greeted,. We were well looked after by our waiter, Henry, and had a very pleasurable, tasty, and enjoyable luncheon. We are looking forward to another generous offer by one of our other offspring in the not too distant future.!

I had a voucher for afternoon tea, unfortunately 2 of the 3 sandwiche choices I don’t eat, so I asked if they could change them But waitress went away to find out and never returned, therefore we ended up ordering from the main menu. I had the shepherds pie which on arrival was not very hot so I sent it back. On return it was nice. But on reflection I think it’s very overpriced

Great meal and excellent service. The waiter who oversaw our group ( at the corner table overlooking the High Street) was outstanding and helped to make the occasion very agreeable.

Awful. It was my wife’s birthday and the service was slow (45 minutes to take our order despite the restaurant being half ful), my wife’s chicken Milanese was burnt and had to be sent back and my son’s steak wasn’t great either. We’ve had good meals at The Ivy before but this was dreadful. It fealt like they were on a skeleton staff and just didn’t care.

We came to The Ivy as a birthday treat for my girlfriend. Our starters were amazing, the sourdough loaf, incredible. Thats the good news. My sirloin steak was very very good, however my girlfriends scallops on risotto, was very poor, the scallops were good, however the risotto was disgusting and tasted foul. We mentioned this to the waiter when he cleared the plates, however we don't believe fully understood what we were saying as English was not his first language (not being racist here, just factual). He kind of smiled and shrugged his shoulders. We did notice that when he showed the plate to another chap in a navy coloured suit jacket. Within 5 minutes, my girlfriend started to feel unwell and then proceeded to be physically sick in the toilets,having been away from the table for 10 minutes or so. As some kind of compensation, we were offered a complimentary coffee, but we didn't want to make a large fuss at the table, as the restaurant was busy and felt uncomfortable by having to speak loudly.

Not the first time we have eaten here. The reason being, it has always been excellent. The staff, the food, the service and the 'Toast to Spring' is very good value for money.

Shared a gorgeous afternoon tea with my daughter in this beautiful restaurant. It surpassed expectations.

Had a lovely hen do brunch which needed to include 2 babies/prams and a toddler/high chair! The staff were lovely and accommodating and made the whole thing as stress free as possible. The food and drinks were fab and arrived really quickly
