Have been before and had much better food and service. Whilst the decor has been improved since the last visit everything else has gone downhill. The menu was unbelievably limited and different to previous visits. The food was average albeit fairly overpriced. Service was sloppy with an order for drinks forgotten about. When we chased them up to find out where they were we decided to leave instead so they lost out. A disappointing experience and I’m not sure I will be in any hurry to return.

Excellent meal, we both had the Rump Steak, Whisky peppercorn sauce. I had the chunky chips instead of the fries and my wife had the haggis and cheese fries instead of the house fries. We enjoyed our meal and will return.

We didn't eat so couldn't comment. However, the service, the knowledge & overall staff experience was really good. The variety & suggested cocktails were on point.

Lovely food great service the restaurant is beautiful after the refurbishment seating very comfortable,chairs a bit heavy but did move easily

I like the atmosphere, service is quite poor with the young and unexperienced staff. Food is bad, tasteless and non presentable. Definitely won't be going back.

Went there after the Calcutta cup. The place was really busy. Limited menu due to this, so not as much choice as normal. Food was good and service was great.

Great, staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Rugby day so very busy but they were attentive and the food was good. Just what you needed to before heading off to the match. Would recommend.

Very nice full Scottish breakfast, served by friendly and efficient staff. Freshly squeezed orange juice and good coffee. Attractive place with nice ambiance. Would recommend for a 5 star hotel quality breakfast at half the price.

Food was lovely but some things could be better. The Mac & cheese was missing something, it was good but not great. The cheesy chips were fantastic though. The chicken & waffles was just ok. The waffles were too sweet & the chicken was just little bits chopped up and not what I expected. Plus if you say coriander on the menu please put more than a tiny garnish! The beef brisket sandwich was great & the chips are also really good. The wait staff were just fantastic, very attentive & great chat. Cocktails were lovely too. I loved the decor & the women’s bathroom is one to see!

Lovely lunch. My friend and I both had the chicken cobb salad, a glass of wine and a coffee to finish. The salad was really tasty, and the service faultless. Love the refurbishment too.

Absolutely brilliant! Went here for an early valentines dinner, the food was fantastic. I had the Huxley colada and I definitely would recommend that to any rum lovers, definitely worth the value. Service was on the slower side, which is nice not constantly being approached especially on valentines. Our server was absolutely lovely, never got his name but he was a great host. Requested a seat by the window and they were able to accommodate that which made it even more special! Definitely would recommend here for any occasion. A very relaxed atmosphere with good staff and good products.

We were in before the Scotland France game, great busy atmosphere but that did not hinder the service. Breakfast hash was absolutely fantastic, I'd recommend that and a cheeky cocktail for a great start to the day!

Nice new fresh look to the West End’s No1 lounger bar. Stopped in for a quick bite on the way home and added a nice Old Fashioned cocktail for fun. Good Cold Town House NEIPA on tap with a good choice of well prepared staples on the menu.

Great refurbishment the place looks fantastic! Like that although the sport is on there’s music playing which is appreciated. The food was delicious and arrived hot, the service was on point when we asked for it. One of our favourite places to go would recommend

Simple but really tasty food. Great ambience and dog friendly. Would definitely go again. I had the Scottish hot dog with haggis which was fabulous.
