Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org.
Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables.

Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

This is my favorite place to go to tea. I attend relatively regularly with close friends or for special occasions. I like sitting outside, but that is because I’m very sensitive to noise and I appreciate being able to be outside.

A lovely Interlude to the day. There is plenty of food in the basic serving to complete a lunch. We ordered a bottle of very good Brut champagne from the menu, and enjoyed every bite. Good pleasant service, a pleasing environment, and, of course, it’s in the middle of the Huntington Gardens and museums. We strolled in the rose garden and stepped into the museum to see the old and the new, finishing in the Library’s display of inspiring manuscripts from many cultures.

My table was outside facing the herb garden. Very peaceful. Service was excellent. I’ve been coming to the Tea Room for more than 30 years, so was very interested to experience it after the renovations were completed. The Huntington Tea was quite pricey; I miss the buffet with its variety of options. The scones I had recently don’t compare to the light, fluffy ones they used to serve. The indoor tables were full and quite noisy. Book an outdoor table if possible.

A wonderful tea experience. Food was excellent and what I was expecting for tea. Went to two places in NYC for tea, one being Bergdorf Goodman and both places were disappointments.

Book in advance. Reservations at the tea room are limited. The food was delectable. I opted for the Huntington Tea and appreciate the non-alcoholic House Bubbles. My friend ordered the same, and had the Vegan option. Very professional staff. Comfy seats. Good atmosphere.

Our server was very unprofessional. He never came to replenish our waters or to tend to us. It just seemed that they were charging so much for the meal that we should’ve been better taken care of there. It is such a high-end place to have tea, but the server just felt like we were in a coffee shop with the waiter never coming back to us. Although he did give us two little cakes for our birthday, that was the only time he came to the table
