Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org.
Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables.

Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

We ate outside and it was delightful and stunningly gorgeous. Really beautiful ambience with the garden all around! I would like to have butter and other kinds of jam (like raspberry and strawberry) available for the scones instead of just marmalade and cream. The actual tea was delicious. The sandwiches were exceptional. The scones were very good. I’m not a fan of maple so I’ll be glad when they pick a new flavor, but the cranberry scone was excellent. Overall, this tea is delightful and stands up to some of the best British teas.

It is always a special occasion when three generations of women can share some time together. Our time in the tea room was extra special, creating even more beautiful memories. Highly recommend this special experience.

VEGAN Heaven! Wow I’m so happy to be included in the tea service. We celebrated a belated Mother’s Day here. I was able to book reservations the night before. So lucky! We were seated outdoors next to the fountain. Just beautiful. And the roses were in full bloom. We wanted to pinch ourselves , it was just the most perfect time here.

It’s a great place to have something special to celebrate or gathering. The scones are the best and we love the teas we selected. Service was top notch. Very beautiful environment. Just a little pricey considering to need get the tickets to be inside the venue. So don’t miss the gardens after the tea.

One of our favorite places for a special occasion. This was our first time coming back since the renovation, we loved the menu updates, especially the Huntington Tea Service which included bubbles and a lobster roll!

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had a kids menu since I had my youngest daughter with me. She enjoyed it immensely and our server was so friendly, helpful, and gracious. I believe her name was Jasmina. It was a lovely afternoon tea experience and I recommend it highly.

Food and drinks were brought out at a rapid pace. We ordered wine and a cheese board to have first ….. the Tea came first!!! …. Then the cheese board …then 5min later the wine…. 3 min later the entire tea service food was brought to the table!!!! …10 min later the scones showed up. Our server was pleasant …. But only checked on our table once!!! … supposedly a table of 5 is allowed to have the table for 2 hours…. We were pushed out in 50min …. After being seated 15 min after our reservation !!!! Way over priced $79 …plus $29 entry fee to the gardens … Much better options elseware …. If they were located outside of the gardens … would not be successful …. Too bad … we had high hopes

We had a lovely birthday tea, in the main yellow room. Our server was delightful, and he brought the BIRTHDAY BOY a special treat!
